I loved the first Escape from NY, and the cult classic Dark Star.  Also the Thing was cool.

His sound tracks were excellent also. Halloween, or my favorite, "The Fog"? Good, creepy stuff. I play the cd of the music during Halloween for the trick or treaters.

I always thought the Escape from NY theme would make a great industrial metal rock anthem.  Perfect for the movie.

I saw it once somewhere on these threads maybe on OSOM one. But now can't find! But he had some band in the way old days but much later some metal band sampled his UFO/19.5 stuff a bit for some songs. Tell me someone else remembers this story!
