Neither worked out, so Heather was the network's fallback option.

Art still has considerable pull with Keith, if that wasn't obvious enough already, and there's still bad blood between him and Richard. After Art's shot at RCH on tonight's Gabcast, I would prefer if he left DMDN and set out on his own. Why do all of these shows feel as though it's necessary to get locked in with a network as poorly run as this one?

I don't know. I think the most revealing thing about the GabCast was Art is a pro, he's been at this for decades, he can create the narrative and stick to it. But the most interesting thing to me was Art believes we're not upset about how much Heather sucks, we're upset because Art's gone. If Heather was just on the radio with no affiliation to Art, she'd be doing a great job with no backlash. The backlash is all because we liked Art so much.

It'll be hilarious to listen to six months from now.
