I heard that they used to keep a fan under Larry King's desk, blowing away from the guest, because Larry is so flatulent. Apparently it was a big joke at CNN.

Since Carter has said he's a skeptic, I hope someone asks about the dichotomy of representing a skeptic view on the show but also needing that viewpoint to be defeated every episode for it to be good television.

In the 90s the writers would routinely surf message boards reading what people were saying about the show. It's possible that Carter is a closet bellgabber. But not likely, since he seems like a decent person.
