You mean Utah? 😄

No I think probably around Palm Springs.  Definitely not Arizona or New Mexico.

I think so too, it might take the pressure off if she had a producer, like er um, maybe Saucy Rossy :D

That's what I was thinking.

If we had Peter Davenport's passive radar we could find her.

Very good description. In time she will probably get more comfortable IF not hounded off the air

If Art had kept going and let Heather fill in now and then, easing people - and her - into it, I think the blows would have been softened significantly.

He hasn't brought it up yet has he? I guess he needs to work into it.

I honestly don't think it's possible to tell the difference between the initial self-consciousness factor, and the talent/presence factor, until the self-consciousness wears off.  And the online evisceration and prank calls only exacerbate the problem.

She's bright, loves the subject matter, and has bigger balls than I do (if someone had handed me Art's mic and said "here you go, good luck tonight" I would've laughed in their face and walked away).  But she's stuck in the "I want them to like me" head space.  I'm not even going to try to assess her actual talent level and presence until she's comfortable enough to relax and let her sassy side show.

maybe stop trying to get people to like her then?

Not Sure if it has anything to do with sonic booms...

True, but really at this point. Why even bother mentioning it?

That train is long gone...I guess you could email Art to bitch him out.

Perhaps Art "Easing into it" and lots of "Blows" explains it all !

MUFON UFO journal sounds like a lively read.

If Heather is keeping the Art Bell tradition alive, like Keith says, then she should marry someone 40 years younger than herself. Since she said she's around 40, I guess she'll have to marry a fetus.
ooohhhhhh, that's gonna leave a mark.

Good advice. She was truly dumped immediately in the deep end.

I think it's a lot like acting:  it looks so easy when it's done well.  But then when you have a camera on you, suddenly you feel like a complete idiot.  That phase would pass pretty quickly if she felt like she was talking to friends / friendly listeners, but she's been dumped on so hard that it's a miracle she hasn't cracked completely.  She's earned my respect for enduring the horrendous abuse of the last few weeks.

Just wormholed Heather on this. Passive radar thing. Not tracking her down thing

Heather said she doesn't understand why Art documented, but didn't report the death threat.

I'm just sharing my perspective, like everyone else here.  Take it or leave it, I don't care.

Merely explaining that I believe Heather HAS gotten more comfortable, but it doesn't make a difference due to the way the switch was made.
