I dunno PB.

What a bunch of shit to paddle through, huh? Art has left the main building. Depending on which side of the road one has placed their beach chair, I guess building a listener base is important. However, to me, I don't think there is that much of a strategy. I think the motorcycle is still new and the rider is still learning the sharp curves. And doing well keeping the bike stable, that is how I see it.

Chris Carter, grasping for interviews? Somehow, I don't think that is the case. I am pretty sure, he can hit the main stage anytime he wants.

So back to good radio or not? Heck, it's a radio show on the internet. I will be listening tomorrow night, unless I fall asleep.

Is CC going to be on the broadcast tomorrow??

Described by Time Magazine as a “televisionary,” Chris Carter created one of the most successful television franchises of all time with his award-winning “The X-Files.” The show ran a remarkable nine seasons on Fox, is still seen today in over 60 countries, spawned two films and several comic book and video game adaptations. The impact of Carter’s series is such that in 1997, Time Magazine named him one of “The 25 Most Influential People in America.” Carter also created the shows “Millennium”,“Harsh Realm”,“The Lone Gunmen,” and in 2016 will bring “The X-Files” back to television with a 6-episode limited run on Fox.

I enjoyed last night's show but I always enjoy Randall.  The man is about as sane as you can get on the alternative angle of geological earth changes.

So, aside from talking about his shows...what will we spend 3 hours listening to?

Art's interview with Patch Adams comes to mind.

Randall carried it and led the discussion; more of a presentation than an interview.  HW's comments and questions were superficial at best but he was somewhat patronizing; "Have you heard of Tunguska?".  She should have kept him on the edgy stuff and not the long rehash of Discovery Channel stuff.  With Bell gone, MITD lacks the necessary depth in science and technology for the topics covered.

I have no more interest in a Chris Carter interview about a warmed over X-Files than I have in hearing the aging Billy Mumy sing folk songs.

Some pretty good bumper music, a couple of Arctic Chaga ads, a discount code for Avon eye cream and a couple of ads for radios. And Heather. Heather is getting better.

Anyone that doesn't like listening to her should just move on to C2C or Clyde Lewis.

Or stick a fork in their eye.

She fills the hour before C2C adequately...sometimes.  And occasionally more if the guest is sharp.

I'd rather hear Carter than a dude rambling about shale rock formations.

Ha. Gerald Bull. How come nobody mentions the 'supergun' attempt when it comes to Saddam WMD? One would think some Bush apologist would at least throw that out there as proof that, even if we didn't find any/much WMD, there was proof he wanted them and was planning....now for the $64K question: who assassinated him?

Was that a supergun or a plumbing supply yard?

I thoroughly enjoyed last night's show.  All data, no fluff (don't go there Gravity lol).

Heather.  You stepped up like a pro, and continue to host like a pro.  Keep up the great work!!! ;)

Very a propos but I just read a book that featured Gerald Bull and his gun as a part of the mystery*. Btw Hitler had a 'super gun' also back when (not as large) and the famous "Dam Busters" squadron's mission after the famous mission was to bomb that and the German supership Tirpitz hiding in a Norwegian fjord. BBC did a cool show about those missions. It is interesting to note that crazy dictators always try, or do, build "super" stuff.  Japan build that 'super' battleship that we sank also.

Germany had an artillery piece that launched the first man made object into the stratosphere. Long before Hitler. World War I.

Those Krupps. Talk about 'blood money' over the centuries!
A great, but long, book on them (but covers some other interesting stuff as well) is "The Arms of Krupp 1587-1968 by William Manchester.
In keeping with tradition that despite all the company still exists in the form, now, as thyssenkrupp AG and a foundation (that has controlling interest in thyssenkrupp AG.) Over 650+ companies worldwide. To the victors go the spoils.

Nearly every call she gets is positive.  It's only Bellgab & 4chan that criticize her.

And most of the criticism here comes from 4chan carriers.

I can't say I've been too excited about the X-Files revival, either. I guess if this limited series was to finish up the whole alien invasion/conspiracy once and for all, I might be more into it.

I'm kinda surprised Heather played the "announcement" out that way. Maybe after an hour. Tops. She had to have known most people would assume it would be Art.

Me too.  It was tacky.

Hey Paladin; someone copped your Meme "the reason we can’t have nice things", used it as a Headline for an article, and it's now featured on Art's site . . .
http://midnightinthedesert.com/reason-cant-nice-things-internet/

I think it was my mom that I remember first saying that, sometime around the age of 8.  ''Paladin, you broke this vase when you knocked it over.  You know you're not supposed to conduct L shaped ambushes in the house.  Tsk, tsk.  This is why we can't have nice things."

If Carter can't draw back Art for awhile after this time, you wonder how few and far between any Art appearances are going to be in the future.

Agreed.  If there was ever a time for him to hop back into the chair, even briefly, this would be it.
