Yeah I took that bait, too, though I hold little hope Art will return.  I want something other than the noory to listen to, something that feels as close as possible to Art if I can't have him.  Heather cares way more about Art than I do -- she could be his archivist -- and has Art's seat, so it's the logical place for my $.

I don't care if it takes her years to reach Art's on-air comfort and style.  A more-experienced broadcaster would bring their own schtick.  She seems to be trying her best to imitate Art, and that's great with me.

The only thing I worry about is her sensitivity to criticism, despite talk of steel balls.  Her rejection as co-host turned the celebratory Gabcast at Art's last return into a dirge and, from Art's comments over Christmas, it sounds like she's been crying to him recently.  For God's sake, never let 'em see you sweat!

The people who always bitched are still bitching, the people who always talk about themselves are still talking about themselves, Heather's show thread (about which Art was complaining) isn't really any worse than Art's own.

The only real divide that matters in business terms is between those who kept and those who cancelled their subscriptions, and I don't see any name-calling between these factions.

If this is civil war I'm very disappointed.  I expect carnage.

What the fuck is she doing over there?  In that den of hyenas, trying to engage them in a conversation?  She should be here amongst here own.  Where she can talk with us if she wants to, or not talk to us if she doesn't want to.
