Yeah we already went there.  Friday....oh the humanity...

The Friday callers should be dropped into a fucking volcano.

Breezy

:-\listened for a few minutes to tonight's guest with Heather Wade and couldn't take it. His info about the giants is interesting, but in general he comes off as uneducated and opinionated rather than scientific. Credentials do not necessarily prove someone to be credible and some without credentials have shown themselves to be professional and authoritative.  But this guy's lack of them is apparent in his presentation. Hope she has a better guest tomorrow.

He preferred pop music to rock for sure.

Art's musical tastes seemed to be atrophied mostly in the 1970's.

Trolls? Is he reading Bellgab right now?!

He said "there's one on there right now"  so no...  lol

All of us are dissing him here.   ;D

Haha! My evidence! What evidence? A couple of photos, get real.

Right but there were a ton of great rock bands in the 70s (frankly the best there ever were).  He mostly plays just the pop from the 70s.

You're hitting on a hotly contested topic :)

Some people claim that different woods change the tone of the guitar.  Others claim it's marketing BS.

I own a 1981 Gibson ES-335 dot and a 2008 Les Paul Class 5 (it's got weight relief holes).  If I tweak the sound with my amp, you can hardly tell the difference.

Acoustically, yes, the 335 sounds like a muted acoustic.  And the Les Paul rings slightly different than a fully solid body LP.  But at the end of the day, when you plug a guitar in, with a lot of adjusting of the tone, and depending on what pickups you have, you can really fool people.

To a GOOD player, he or she will pick a guitar that they will like the feel and mojo of.  With that they will kick ass.  You can't just spend more money to get a better guitar.  I've spent $4k on a guitar (made in the USA custom shop) and $299 ("Crafted in China"), and both guitars are beautiful and I can pull major tone and playing out of them.
I've heard, and so have you, some crazy good stuff on "cheap" or, at least, well-used instruments. Not to say, as I said that a pro/virtuoso, can tell (and/or listeners) can tell. It also brings up the, heck I'm throwing IEDS here( ;)) digital, analog, etc stuff for recordings and manipulations thereof (which have gone on for ever since the recording media existed) versus live listening and the venue.

As a student heavily into the SCIENCES I understand... I've been there... in fact I usually poke fun at his methods. Tonight I feel thirsty in this shit Desert for a sip of something fresh. The fictional science of Hoogland is far more welcoming than this nonsense.
Nearly anything is better than batshit silly Bible talk.  Here in the South that it's everywhere...so sick of hearing about it.  But a good conspiracy show would be nice.  Is Dr. Spence any good?  I haven't been listening to RCH much; I only signed up to support DMDN in this dark hour.

The question is where did the mouth breathers come from?

Fox News breeds them like flies.

I was thinking some of the bump music would change when he came back, i knew he would play some of the old regulars he was known for but i was hoping he would introduce a few other tunes

Dark times for sure. This is painful. Money, time, and possible sleep wasted.

To everyone saying they can't wait for open lines: it's gonna be the same mouth breathers who've been calling every other night, not people calling to roast the guest like we actually want.

Is possible, but I'm getting the impression that the trolls are starting to burn out already. They're still around, but the air already seems cleaner this week.

Disclose your data, sir. I'd like to look at it.

I'm hoping that the novelty of calling to be an asshole wears off, we may hear some intelligent questions again.  It's Christmas; let me dream.

Woks Wong

I think this guy read The Lord of the Rings and thinks it is a non-fictional account.

The great dust bowl of the DMDN has claimed not only the trolls but many of loyal listeners.

Who could have seen this coming?

ChandlersDad

YIKES! Now he is referring to LORD OF THE RINGS. Dwarves, elves, giants....

Oh, he is going for the punch! Jesus is coming because fallen angels are messing with the genome. So in other words, ban all stem cell research in the USA?

No, the full song. Oates is a pillow biter.
