Come on.  You guys don't like a little David Gilmour, subtle whammy barring?  What are you fucking nuts?   ;D

Yeah, he's good but Jeff Beck is the real master of the trem bar!

Can we fast forward to RCH? At least he interviews his guest and he knows science. This feel like a shitty lecture.

Well I hear that RCH is a re-run tonight.  And his grasp of physics is pretty weak actually....that "hyperdimensional geometry" shtick is just awful.  But this does feel like a torturous lecture by a loon.

What do you play, SciFi?

Bunch of guitars, but as far as electrics mainly a 1989 Les Paul custom and a yellow run-of-the-mill SG.

Steven Quayle. That guy is really whacked out.

I'm good either way.  I also own a PRS SE EG.  (The hardtail one.)

And I recently bought an unfinished Strat hardtail body as a project guitar.   :D
So in keeping with derailing threads...aside from pickups, amps, etc is there much of a difference between guitars when electric and solid? I know there is? But really based on science (unlike hollow or stuff like fiddles etc where, holes, reverb, types of wood? And even other guitars. Frankly, I'm suspect. BUT, can accept that to a really good player, virtuoso etc it can make a difference. But to the normal, run-of-the-mill makes a difference? That huge Steinway make chop-sticks much better (but in your house with no acoustics designed?)

I don't know - that hubrids show Art hosted was one of the worst shows I've ever heard and Art allowed that guy to go on and on. Sometimes the goal is utter insanity by the show's end. Open lines tries to pull some of it back to reality but more so it shows how many idiots have bought into the guest.

I think Art met his match with the hubrids guy. And then he had him back. Go figure.

Indeed.

She's being a bit too easy on him, imo. Maybe she's thinking ahead and realizes the calls will probably take care of that.

Website doesn't list the show as a replay yet. Chances are it will end up going to a replay at some point during the live program.

I so want to get an SG one day. Such a sweet, easy playing guitar! Les Pauls are awesome sounding, of course but I've always found them too bottom heavy for my liking. Right now I only have a Tele but I rarely feel like I need anything else.

Nope - earlier tonight someone said that here, but they were wrong.  RCH has some guy named Dr. Richard Spence tonight:

No, I think she's relieved to have someone who talks a lot, giving her an easier time.  Anyway, any argument with LA Martinin is at the level of paradigm v's paradigm, and would be pointless.

He's 6'5" so that guy's probably pushing 8'6" - 9'
So Rock is tall but not that crazy, I'm there (maybe some hair.) Not as in shape tho. Ha. And Rock seems, oddly (!!) smaller when I've seen him in movies or sometimes when I catch some wrasslin' But if that perspective is true some NBA needs to hire that Chinese guy. Still, he wouldn't be able to deal for long (looks a little weak- I know still strong but.) Not WWF materials like the big, tall guys.

Or.....perhaps she simply is buying this crap!  She thinks that she can tell when someone is telling the truth? Wow. That's delusional.

You are 110% accurate. However, his spotty understanding of physics is 19.5 times more interesting for a listener.

I have a feeling RCH is taking days off to shop for Snooreys Christmas gift.

Crap I don't think I can tolerate this guy any longer   :o

norland2424

so if they needed a platoon to take the giant down, why not call CAS to kill it

Thank goodness for the music. Thanks Art.

I always wanted to do that but never did, its on my bucket list.

Yes.  Building them up from scratch is very rewarding.  I recently built a Tele using a Warmoth body and a Musikraft neck.  It's a beauty.  I enjoyed the process and the result so much that I'm now building another Tele and a "Telebird"  Kind of a Firebird style body with Telecaster pickup and control plate configuration.  Actually it has a humbucker hole in the neck, but I had a humbucker sized P-90 made for it  ;)

Have you guys ever heard of Zhangbucker?  If not, check him out.  Awesome pickups:

http://www.zhangbucker.com/

The Tele will have a mix of a Lollar and a Lindy Fralin.

The bodies for these two are from Saylor guitars.  He's very good.  "alpine_oregon" on ebay
