It reminds me of this one time, when I was working at the flower shop, and there was a staff meeting, and the owner was going on and on about the latest ridiculously complicated discount structure, and I raised my hand, and said: "Hey, are you actually setting this up so it's hard for people to figure out, especially when they're stoned or wishing they were?" And the owner kinda grins impishly, and says, "Yes. No more questions," and kept right on going.
