Midnight In The Desert

Shit,  I've been offended and insulted numerous times on Bellgab.  It is just part of the scene and the nature of the beast.  You have to have a thick skin.

I know that I am personally responsible for no fewer than a half dozen such warnings.  You really need to change your (moderating) ways.

Oh... Great... Now there are sunflower seeds all over the floor. You would think after all this time that I would have learned not to eat or drink while viewing the forum.

Get thee behind me, Satan. :P

LOL.  You're trying to goad me into posting something
and I'm tempted but I don't want to
upset ponyboy or bell.

Aw fuck it.
I think this will pass the censors.

What would you rate an entire show of Heather and Lasha vaping and giggling?  There is already a clip of that.

Entertaining and listenable...

Oh, good grief. Get a grip.

Have you considered directing these spokespersons for the moral consciousness to the BellaHaven thread?

The Second Coming of BellaHaven could be amusing to watch...

To each their own WC.
Good to see you.   ;)

Exactly.. they would be entertaining and appealing for a certain segment of listeners.

Lasha is hillarous when she gets going and Heather can balance her out. They actually like each other and hopefully put some new spin on the same old subject matter.

The trend in paranormal radio has been to talk the accepted "party line" .. one boring host after another saying the same old crap.

Want new spin, worth a try to see if Lasha and Heather could pull that off.

Bellgab loves a trainwreck, but unfortunately, much like Senda, they would probably ban most of their listeners and potential shushscribers.

How about Heater and Senda doing a show together? They are both having trouble getting shows going and by teaming up they would be Bellgab's dynamic duo.

Behind every successful man is a strong woman and that is Senda's biggest problem. Heather can help him reach his goals by casting spells and using her witchy ways to accomplish their radio dreams together.

If anybody is offended by anything I post, please tell me in a pm or whatever.
I like to think I am thoughtful and consider what others have to say.

I can understand why ponyboy was upset.  That gif that dsz posted was right on the line
of what I consider porn.  It wasn't obvious porn but I can still understand why
many would be outraged. Any adult would know that was semen but an innocent child would just ask questions.
Plus, it wouldn't be good for anyone if the boss comes around their
workplace and sees something questionable.
With that said, while I think we should censor ourselves within reason, what makes
the Bellgab environment attractive is the anything goes environment.
I don't want to see that change.

That would also make for a great show, but again, they would probably ban all their listeners and shushscribers.

Has anyone heard from Paul and Ella? Are their dogs being properly peed?

I remember this one tuesday in Boulder Colorado, 14th of july 1984, I was eating my next door neighbors ass behind a green 1975 Ford Bronco when suddenly Mikey "the stapler" Modanazioli popped up from the shadows and told me we have to go help his retarted half brother Charles rob a liquor store on the 4th street.

The 14th was a Saturday.

I wasn't able to catch the show last night, but was curious if they got the phones going yet?

Also, a message to Mr. Dave Schrader from a subscriber. I think the show would really benefit from a fourth hour, especially once the phone lines get opened. With a good host like Dave I feel it is almost a necessity. If for some reason this is not feasible, then please do less 'two guest' format shows, so we can get more of a long format that allows the host and callers to really dig into the subject at hand.

My Mom is 72 and my Dad is 73. My Mom is obviously tech savvy but my Dad has a flip phone. Lol.

My parents are/would be about 10 yrs younger than yours. They had me real young. ;) LOL

My dad died 14 yrs ago, but he and my husband were building their own computer network before either of them dreamed of having a career in that field. (They used it to play WOW on their two computers, which were set up in different rooms of the same house. LOL). We got AOL right away (it's how I met my husband), so no doubt my dad would be well versed in smart phones by this point.

My mom and step-dad on the other hand, completely different story. (My step dad is a teacher, so he might not be that illiterate).  They do still have flip phones, and my mom has actually said "LOL" w/out spelling it out.  ??? ::)   I told you previously how she's a little nuts right now? I can't send her pictures w/out her asking "cool, but where are all of the people?"  I don't know if the images don't show up on her computer, or her brain is malfunctioning.  :-X SMH

Alright.. 20 pages to wade through. I honestly haven't been bothering for the last several days.  Sewergab and all.  :P  As it is, I'm still listening to Friday's show. sigh.

Oh.. anyone else here have a Band kid? My daughter got her band "letter" last night. It's very cool looking!

My mom used to say that to me for real when I was a kid. Not joking in any way.  Maybe that's part of why I have a liking for the disturbed part of life. Not liking, per se..  fascination with? Desire to learn more? Understand why some people are the way they are? I dunno.  My mom wasn't really thrilled when she found out she was pregnant with me. She was a stupid teen roaming the streets, up to no good.

As for whatever was posted that was practically porn, I didn't see what dsz posted, but I have seen what the one dude with the anime avatar keeps posting, and I'm pretty much ready to set them to ignore.. unless Liberace stepped in already? I am looking back to last night's posts, and don't see them anywhere.

By the by, I should be able to click on a person's avatar/profile pic and ignore them from there. Not wade through a bunch of shit in my own profile settings to do it.  Is there no way to change this?  :-[

I prefer a show on red wine. My mother was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer on Tuesday...dead on Sunday...

Very sorry to hear that chefist. My dad passed last October in the worst possible way...Lots of guilt and regret that I'm still dealing with.

Try to stay busy and be with family/friends if possible.

I'm sorry, Chefist. That's terrible.  :(

Did anyone have any idea she was ill? My dad died within months of diagnosis.  He knew something was wrong, but his primary care physician told him flat out he did not have cancer.  Wrote him a script for physical therapy- figured he hurt himself at work.  I don't think he even took xrays. My dad was in so much pain, that he ended up in the ER, and that's where he was diagnosed. By that point, it was too late to do anything.  :'(  There was talk of suing this doctor, but that never happened.

Honestly, PBS... You quit BellGab a few months ago because someone said something mean to you about being a dyke, and you then immediately headed over to Twitter to unfollow me as if I were personally responsible for whatever you were offended by. I don't consider that a measured or reasonable reaction to what bothered you. Point is, if I were to engineer the forum in a way that prevents these moments for you, we would be down to 30 or fewer people all jerking one another off.
Fair enough. You’re right I should not have taken that out on you. Bellgab will continue on as it always has. I personally think it is more enjoyable when certain posters aren’t here but I am sure people feel that way about me as well. Thanks for calling me out. By making mistakes I can learn from them. Thanks again Liberace for all you do.
