Rent controlled NYC? Waiting for a sudden, unexpected death of a landlord in Greenwich Village...

How are you faring in the DeBlasio hobo apocalypse playing out here?

I would never want a loved one to be alone when they die...how weak to say, "It's too hard" to be there...fuck that...

Makes me think of this monologue from The Mosquito Coast.

It took me a long time to find someone who could read an old Fortran program script which I was given by the guy who wrote it in the '70's for punchcards and convert it into an efficient app for use today. He did a great job getting it to work, but abandoned the project before he made it look nice and designed its appearance. But at least he knew Fortran! geez...

I loved Fortran, but COBOL was how I made my living.

Best that way...I would never want a loved one to be alone when they die...how weak to say, "It's too hard" to be there...fuck that...when they go, even crying, screaming and fighting...you are there...

Movies have people simply falling asleep...bullshit...reality is often much different...

Yeah, not to be a downer but my mother passed away from a blood clot going to her lungs and it wasn't a pretty sight. I jump in front to help her as much as I could and also so my father wasn't seeing her that way. I kept him busy on the phone calling for help as I was with her as she passed. So, I know what you mean man.

If there was a national referendum, pot would pass...we need those here in the US...the constitution does not prevent a national referendum...

Often, death comes with little dignity. That's just the way it is.

Medical Marijuana in the state of MN sucks...1st you have to pay a $200 app fee then find a doc that will Rx it which may not be in your network so you have to pay out of pocket for that.Plus since it's not FDA approved it's not covered by insurance and since the dispensary is ran by state gov....it's extremely expensive. It's would cost me $600-$800 a month + to treat my Crohns disease #frustrating

I wish they would relax the laws around marijuana, at least in order to allow scientists to study the benefits and/or dangers of it.

DAVE: I agree that pot should be legal...but don't ignore the studies on lung cancer and pot smoking by the American Lung Association...pot is not good for your lungs.
