I listened to very little of Heather, mostly clips that were posted here.  Having heard her repeat ad nausea that she was thrust into the seat, she was just keeping it warm for Art, blah blah blah, I found her quite unconvincing.  She isn't a good liar.  Hardly an Oscar wining performance.

I think it's something Art ''I never lied to you'' Bell cooked up for her to repeat every chance she got.

MY GOD, I just listened to that SoundCloud with Heather and she is more vile, manipulative, and evil than I ever could have imagined.  It was already unbearable to hear, but when she said she didn't attend Art's funeral because she didn't wanna steal the spotlight... the people I was listening with let out a collective FUCK YOU to Heather.

She is a conniving phony that will probably end up in prison for some kind of fraud.  Holy moly, what a trash person.

The sob-fest was tough sledding to hear, but at whatever level her mind works at it seemed oddly genuine.

Why are all of you confused and second guessing whether the plan was to have Heather take over the show from the beginning? Have you all been gaslit? Or were some of you not here when MITD launched? He did a test show with her as the co-host before the first episode of MITD, a test show that failed miserably, but he very publicly talked about his plans for her. Let alone all the stuff behind the scenes.

I'l say it again, a 70 year old host with COPD and a new family is precisely Why Art needed a succession plan.

Whether she “owns his legacy” because of that is absurd. She owns her own legacy.

It's been a while since I listened to that episode, I mainly recall the announcement of the shooter, the call to the cops, and her utter deer in the airwaves lost presentation.

Yeah, that was odd.  I remember hearing her on the Gabcast and she sounded alright, even good.  Then when she took over MITD from Art, her voice rapidly went to sounding fake as hell and the vocal fry started.  Maybe coz someone complained about her voice, and she tried too hard to change it.  I wonder if she ever got professional voice lessons?  If so, that vocal coach is in the wrong profession.
