Hey Pony, yeah, I totally get where you're coming from. You've always seemed authentic to me in your opinions, I was just wondering why everyone has been so accepting of Dave. I guess I'm just not that much of a fan (yet). But I aknowledge that he's aeons better than Heather ever could hope to be.

You're just not a hateful person, I guess. Its not in your nature to be ... I just see some of the people that were hurling such innovative vitriol at Heather have quietened down and I miss reading it.

Reasons I like Dave so far:

1. He doesn't put on a stupid voice.

2. He sounds upfront and genuine. He was open, sharing personal stories and being frank about what happened without badmouthing anyone. Classy.

3. He's a proven hard worker and reliable (based on what I read about his track record).

4. He proved that he can gracefully take criticism without melting down.

5. He doesn't require 2 weeks worth of shows that are nothing but fake sobbing to get started.

6. He asked good questions and overall conducted an engaging interview.

Bonus: He acknowledged Bellgab's existence and even participated in the forum discussion.

It's still early, so I don't know if my opinion will change. This is how I feel right now. And maybe he had it easier because Heather set the bar so low, but either way, I see him as a positive asset for the show that has tons of potential to take it where it should have gone when it started (EDIT: Meaning after Art left).

Ha. Heather is a member of that group.
Yes, but she's not in charge and they give zero fucks about her opinion from what I have viewed so far.

All of your points make perfect sense! I'm just bitter because he's not Art Bell. Ugh.

Yeah, I noticed that. Too bad he's all "Goblins n' Such", but I mean, Heather did a bit of politics and you could hear she was just parroting Art's support of Trump. Maybe Schrader knows to stick to shit he's good at.

Still though, I'm into the unusual myself, and that could include the Goblins ... the problem is no one does the Goblins like Art did - and all these knockoffs don't seem to get it! Its not the content Art happened to cover, its the way he covered it. Yet they seem to push push push this paranormal crap.

Oh well, I guess that's just what they're into. Its a pity though.

P.S. You didn't poorly convey it - I think you did a fine job of conveying it.

Thanks for that.
Doesn't even have to be US politics. Say country "X" is in the news, interview someone who is an expert in the culture and motivations of the people in country "X", something along those lines.

While Dave was in here there was a parallel conversation about Switzerland going on, and it was interesting. So yeah, he shouldn't be locked into high strangeness all the time.

Its almost like watching North Korea build a website. "Dear Leader didn't approve of the spaniel banner and its creator has been sent to Lasha's camp #6. We've used 3 months budget on the banner and this broke the budget for creating links. The linkable button committee has approved the buttons, but links are on the horizon, perhaps by July. The HTML Special Purpose Wrangler Committee has procured a copy of HTML 2.0 for Dummies, but those who can read it have not been fully vetted to be non-Bellgabbers and one admitted he watched Alex Jones. In the meanwhile, a splinter group has proposed a Wordpress page and  we are continuing to watch Bart Ells site for code to reverse engineer."
I love this post so much I want to Xerox it and fax it straight to my cortex.

I think he meant our dog, that is now dead and was alive in 1987. But what the fuck pee on our Belgian sheep dog means I'll never know. I'm not that hip to the drug culture. LOL

Ya know, when it is time to let our dogs out I tell my husband, "I'm going to pee our Australian shepherd."

I hope that Paul and Ella have some kind of guardian to keep an eye on them. I question their ability to communicate and make financial decisions like sending gifts to a complete stranger who has shown signs of being unstable.

There is a difference between geopolitics and partisan politics.  I'll listen to/discuss the former, but not the latter.

It baffles the mind, doesn't it? Glad you joined this other facebook group. No one should be banned for having a differing opinion.

Why are you people so quick to approve of Schrader? We all busted Noory's balls for years ... there's still room for Dave to fail collosally.

Where is the trademark hatred I came to know and appreciate?

Where are you BellGab?

Still within the 1-week grace period, before we let it rip!  Look this place is at least theoretically a fan site for Art Bell right, and he was the best, the King, and yet there's never been a shortage of flat-out hostility towards even him.  It's an open forum, with no loyalty pledge required to sign up, so anyone is free to express their love, hate, and everything in between, and they do.

I'm sure Dave will get the whole range at some point, like everyone else has.  I hope if he chooses to have any interaction with this board going forward he sees that big picture, and doesn't only focus on the negative posts like some have in the past.  There is no group-think here.  Each voice stands on its own and should be taken as such.  One thing for sure here is people tend to be brutally honest so if you get positive feedback it should mean something.

Noory had an interesting geopolitical guy on last night. Tonight he has Roger Stone, which will be partisan but nonetheless entertaining.

Last night Dave let it slip by when the guest implied that all that woo he was describing was the impetus behind Trump's actions. If that were Art, he'd have pressed him on it, but Dave didn't want to go there and left hanging an interesting and perhaps telling connection between the guest's world-view and other-world-view.

Ah, the one week grace period, that's what it is.

I do like that Schrader checked in here. We'll see if he sticks around or keeps coming back.

Ya know, maybe I'm not as diehard a fan as others, because I'm kinda over the "X person isn't Art Bell" thing. I think I became disenchanted with him more and more through each quittening and the questionable bullshit that followed - especially after seeing so many people step up and invest time and resources into helping him build an audience he would soon abandon. It also seems he wasn't a great human being in his private life (not that anyone is perfect, but it does take some of the magic away when someone is placed on a pedestal by so many).

There is still the magic of his older shows. And now there's no reason to hope for a comeback and be let down. We can all grieve, get closure, and move on. Should only take about 3 to 5 years tops. Let your employers know you will be taking your bereavement leave indefinitely.

I don't mind deviations from high strangeness, but personally, I'm glad he won't be tackling politics specifically. There is really no reason to because he is right, there are so many other places you can get that crap. It's oversaturated. I like to listen to these shows partly as a break from that bullshit.

Guys I think Paul and Ella could bankroll Heather forever....
Do I have this right? The same couple who sent her a garment steamer and put her in their will have now sent her a pair of socks, a survival pen, and a DVD with 1987 pictures of their dead dog?

Occam's razor requires this to be a long con. Please.

Does anyone have this cocksucker's address or the town he lives in? The PD needs to get animal control in there to rescue that poor dog.
