Looks like we may see two dueling "Midnight in the Desert" shows - though Keith's with a new host starts a week or more before Heather's.
And as was pointed out earlier, THREE "Chase" openers running?   :o

Oh, gee Heather, what is it tonight?
At least just tell me what the hell is wrong,
Do you want to eat, do you want to sleep, do you want to drown?
Just settle down, settle down, settle down...
I'll give you give candy, give you diamonds, give you pills,
Give you anything you want, hundred dollar bills,
I'll even let you watch the shows you want to see,
Just marry me, marry me, marry me...

Our video version is just on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/spookysouthcoast) but the audio podcast is fed out to hundreds of podcast feeds, including iTunes, Stitcher, etc. Yeah, that's the doc I was in, too, albeit briefly. My friend Aaron Cadieux put that together after about a decade or more of research. We have covered "The Conjuring," absolutely. Andrea Perron is a friend, and I even got to know Norma Sutcliffe, the current owner of the house, although her and Andrea no longer get along so I've stayed out of that drama. The Johnsons are very good friends of mine, too. Keith was the first guest we ever had on Spooky Southcoast and a frequent contributor to the show. Carl Johnson and I are in a stage show together, along with Jeff Belanger and Andrew Lake, called "An Evening of Ghost Stories and New England Legends," which is where my avatar is from. There's a doc about the making of the stage show on Amazon as well.

Very cool.  I'll definitely check your show out.  :D

Ha, yes.  I think I'll just stick with the orthodox Knapp branch, with maybe some guilty forays into the cult of 19.5.

The statement Keith posted on the MITD web site today is a work of art (no pun intended).  In three paragraphs he subtly but effectively paid tribute to Art, bid farewell to Heather, and started the countdown for the launch of a new era for MITD.

Keith has handled the tragedy of Art’s death and and the unprofessionalism of Heather’s antics with class and dignity.  Well-played.

A copper line telephone is essential in business.  Even when you have 20 lines coming in, a hard-wired line is important to report problems, call 911, etc...  They've got backup generators at the TelCo and the line will stay active long after VOIP dies off.  Plus federal regulations require the twisted pair telephone lines stay up where as internet is not yet so actively regulated for up time requirements.
.
I could be wrong but here the 'landlines' are still digital and through your router and they replaced much of the lines with fiber-optitic (though not sure but it SEEMs that competitive carriers are laying own lines? google, spectrum, and at&t ALL  seem to be digging up streets etc.)

I don't want to be that guy. But can somebody give me the readers digest of today's events?
I've been AFK all day.

Who’s writing copy for Keith?  “Speedy recovery from grief” is a phrase Hallmark would reject for its Get Well cards.

Dueling Midnight Deserts.  Great.

We need a “Free Art Bell’s Legacy”  campaign.

And this crazy bitch calls George Knapp a vulture?

She's a thief. She actually out-grifted Falkie. It sounded like she still had the equipment. Who knows what is goin on with the cuckshed. But outside of those things between her and Art the plan to leave Keith was so painfully obvious. The blame, then the silence and cries for empathy because she's too busy and in too much pain. The pitiful posts. Then she gets the termination letter and she explodes into action. Instantly a new show is planned and a network is secured. She's back on the air for a show to announce it and taking calls. She's playing up the boo-hoo even while obviously insta-dicking over the Joe dude (the 7th? No, maybe the 14th). She plans to steal the name, steal the subs, copy everything. And she's somehow doing all this on zero talent. Holy shit I wish we knew the missing info that makes all this make sense.

Disagree. Legalize, take away the stigma. Teach kids to love their minds, undrugged, and keep it that way as long as possible. In other words, educate. The more you know ... and all that.

So... You want to allow children & adults to be stoned anywhere, everywhere, and buy it anywhere, from anyone, at any time. Stoned while in school, working, driving, et al. Without legal ramifications. See, this is why people don't want The Potâ,,¢ legalized. Proceeding to folks losing their collective shit, over something less harmful than alcohol. You can take away the stigma, and still maintain some basic regulations. Alcohol has not been legalized, but was decriminalized after prohibition & heavily regulated, tobacco is also regulated heavily. Yet they are easily obtained, and without a great deal of stigma attached. Even in the Bible Belt states.

You should feel the same way about weapons such as heavily weaponized drones, explosives, bombs, missile, flamethrowers, full-auto firearms, anyone at any age, can own as many as they want, buy them anywhere, without restriction. Education is the key, right?

Do you want teens or adults having sex anywhere without any limits? Or would you rather they do that in private?  Hell, I don't want people using a phone while driving, much less having sex, or using drugs. There is a real reason why most things in civil society are discouraged by laws/regulations. Just educate them, teach respect for themselves and others, and to love their bodies, sex, drug, and wound free, for as long as possible. Educate & respect alone sounds good cranked out of a pulp mill. However real life ramifications of such notions, isn't good.

Educate & respect is a good start, but what happens when that fails? This is where legal ramifications come into play, hence laws/regulations. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

In some pulp fictional Utopian society I love your though for most things children/adults would encounter/do, but until then, lets keep some things regulated, please. However the Libertarian in me wouldn't really object to all illegal drugs being made legal. And the US post office could sell them brown bag, with ZERO marketing, for users to have a safe cheap supply. However that alone is just as unrealistic as educate & respect is alone.

# Drugs R Bad MMMkay.
# Drugs R Okay Only If You Don't Use Them MMMKay.
# Drugs R Okay Even If You Use Them MMMkay.

# Drugs R Powerful Can Do As Much Harm As Good Respect & Regulate MMMkay.

No.  "He" starts on Monday, however.

I'm really getting a Whitley vibe.  Someone talk me out of this.
