I know someone who tries to downplay her asthma.  I just heard today that, due to her use of steroids, she had a fungus growing in her vocal cords or lungs... I didn't pay good attention. The result was a weak voice.

Shit, that can't be helpful to living comfortably.

Filipinas that I have known seem to have asthma a lot too.  I know it's a small sample size and anecdotal...  My only guess is due to humidity and cockroaches.

Art went through her ethnicity once and she was only a part filipina. Her maiden name was Hayes and they met in Las Vegas. I doubt that she ever lived in the Philippines. Or the tropics for that matter.
