I just realized today why there is only one picture out there of Heather. It's because any photo she posted would be instantly and infinitely turned into memes by Bellgabers. Is anyone a paparazzi by chance who could go grab some shots of her? Preferably one where she's on the toilet (I want to make my job easy).

I thought she laid the Vulture comment on a few place who said anything Art related, the police, Norry, Knapp, et al. Everything can be up for speculation. Actions outweigh words. Whatever was going on between Art & Heather was bound to end up as it did. She only added fuel to the fire in that regard, and to all the speculation, grief or no. 

What didn't square with me was Keith&Heather wanted Arts death kept quiet until Monday, for the family of course. @ least as I recall it nao.

I don't do social media. Nor am I going to spend the effort sorting her shitshow out. It doesn't really matter that much to me. I already have some idea who Art & Heather are as people. At least Art was a good radio show host. Hashtag.

Heather's whole adventure from regular old BellGabber to Art Bell protege (and headstone designer) would be an intense and buh-zarre experience for most anyone. Can one even return to normal life after that? Makes sense when she says she can't move forward. I do hope she gets professional counseling to help sort things out.

I think Keith really needs to find someone young to come in and do the show... like under 40... someone with drive and vigor and staying power who isn't afraid to take chances. Big risk = big reward... well, with the one glaring exception.

Geez .. her show wasn't as bad as you nitwits portray it.. Heather was listenable, can't say that for most other paranormal shows.

Bellgab is founded on hate.. George sucks.. it attracts "Haters" like flies to shit..stinks from the top down.

I hope she returns as well.  I'll be honest... Unless Knapp is hosting the new MITD I doubt I  will listen on a regular basis.  I made a point to be here when Art came back- and even then, I missed a number of them.  I have the archive, and I think I may have listened to 3 - 5 of them in the last year. 

I don't know if I came for Art, or for the banter when he came back on MITD.  Art was good- but would I make a point of listening without the live thread?  Who knows.  I can say that when I caught him on the radio night after night all those years ago, it was late night, and there was nothing else on.  Even then, the dial would sometimes "wander" to something else.  And I freely admit that he was the "master" of the genre and one of the best hosts of any radio show.

As for marking my calendar for a radio show... I used to try for Knapp (even now, I have missed the last month or two.)  I just don't have the dedication or passion that so many of you seem to have.

So, what is the point of this?  Simply that regardless of who is hosting MITD, I really don't have the time in my life to listen.  It may as well be Heather.  She seemed happy to be doing it, and there are people who want her back.  It makes no difference to me.

You are right- she is "listenable", but there is too much out there to spend 20 hours a week on the mediocre for me.  And that will apply regardless of the host...
