Midnight In The Desert

IF Keith’s “fill in” host is BoB Bain I will cancel my subscription.

I am fine with a fill in host, but bob Bain is AWFUL. He is the biggest idiot ever as well. Before Art came back he was gloating about how he will have more views on YouTube than Art. Bain is Falkie with some technical skills. Actually Id rather listen to Falkie than Bain.

Heather's whole adventure from regular old BellGabber to Art Bell protege (and headstone designer) would be an intense and buh-zarre experience for most anyone. Can one even return to normal life after that? Makes sense when she says she can't move forward. I do hope she gets professional counseling to help sort things out.

# Icarus flew too close to the sun
# If She can adapt 2 the former, she can adapt 2 the latter
# Or she had no business being there in the first place
# Which some would argue she shouldn't have been there
# You can move forward, a friend told me so

I listened to his show the other night and one of his shows on youtube as well, that guy is really crazy but I love listening to him.  In the youtube episode he couldn't get his computer's video output to stop flickering/disconnecting so his solution was to bash everything and somehow this worked for him.  The way he described it was hilarious especially considering I don't think he was trying to be funny.

I wish I could get a podcast of his show, but I don't think he does that.

You have to join that network to get the podcast.  So pretty much you have to take the verbal abuse live, or wait until the mysterious, homeless, bag lady,  Rose Dio uploads the
latest to Youtube from the back of her '73 New Yorker

Ah the archives on their site?  I might just do that.. I want to hear more of his obviously phony war stories.

That's the thing, there are so many hobby hosts out there that have been Art Fans, that I think it would be a big mistake for Keith to think he has to choose just one.  Variety is the spice of life.  Give them all their hour in the spotlight.  It would be like "Bellgab, live on the air".

bwahahahaha

No seriously, ALL our bellgabber hosts know how to behave live on the air, and I think it would be fun to listen to if Keith gave them all their chance.

Theadora

What's the point of keeping this show alive at all?

Heather is no substitute for Art; no one is, but she's not even close.  Why did Art so staunchly defend, Mike Siegal?  Art managed to create an interesting program, even with lame assed guests.  Richard C Hoagland would come on, whenever there was some currently relevant event which warranted his appearance.

Why do we need Hoagland every night, or even every weekend?  Now we have Gary back to run us around in circles.  Big fucking deal.  If no one can entertain us like Art could, and if nobody can manage to entertain us in any other way, unique or cliche, then there's really no point of having a show until ET jams the airwaves with disclosure.  Hoagland tried to grab the steering wheel from Noory.  Gary tried to gab the wheel from Hoagland.  Wade bought the helm which she couldn't handle.

Art pulled a big bait and switch, and everyone's still waiting as if he's going to deliver.  How much more pathetic can you get then that?

# Didn't she attack other shows who did Art shows the same way?
#  "Art vultures 4 their own Gain"
# Asking 4 A Friend

Well kitty she followed up on her Knapp "vulture" comment with this one to the people shown:

I had to google Jeremy Corbell; he's affiliated with Knapp.  Seems to me you could read it both ways.

Also, just for sake of argument, Heather tweeted her own announcement of Art's death 4/14.  Knapp's tweet that drew her ire was 4/19.  Unless I'm missing something, it can't be an issue of scooping.

Good luck.  Feel free to take over the Dietrich thread on this site.   That whole scene just got too demented - even for me.

Oh and here is his Wordpress site ->  https://seekingwithallmyheartandallmysoul.wordpress.com/

It's rather freaky..............................

Sex is strictly for procreation. Sheesh. Everyone knows that!  ::) No removal of clothing.. just appropriately placed holes. Only men can achieve release, to ensure conception. I don’t even think you’re allowed to look at each other!

I wouldn't be surprised if Heather was expecting all kinds of "job offers" to show up on her FB and Twitter.

Just sayin'.

I could be wrong.

Oh but she did have one on Facebook. That guy that runs the Canadian Indian reservation station that relays the show said she could move up there and do it. Problem is she's already gone so far off the reservation I don't think she's ever going back.

Can Keith simply "pick up" a live show for that time slot (for instance Howard Hughes show from the UK)?  Or does it have to originate from the cuckshed

WTF?  Why would I have watched that?  Why would somebody actually allow themselves to be filmed and broadcast to the world?  And then he says that his biggest fear is that everybody will find out and he would lose his job?  So the best solution is to put yourself on television.  Can't actually be real.  Just more scripted BS.

Was this from "the onion?"  :-\

I can't say whether that is real or not.  I hope it's not but then looking around the world today it seems that sadly many such things are real.

What I can say is that I have a friend whose ambition was to be in TV and movies.  This friend went on one of these "something that makes me crazy" reality shows for the purpose of getting some initial fame.  This person then went on to score a lot of parts as extras in popular TV shows using the reality show BS on their resume.  They got their SAG card and began getting speaking roles in hit TV shows and movies.  So this is a path into the business for some people definitely.  It has worked for my friend.  I guess I should also mention that thing that made my friend was "crazy about" and for which they were initially featured was in fact real.

I have another friend who went on an iconic night time scandalous talk show with a fake story in an attempt to become famous.  Turned out almost everyone on that show was fake and the guests have to sign non-disclosure agreements.  It was loosely scripted in that the basic events and direction each show would go was laid out but the specific things said and how exactly the participants get from point A to point B was not dictated.  For instance, guest #1 becomes increasingly jealous, talks of distrust, guest #2 is brought out in next segment, reveal relationship with guest #3 when prompted by host, segment three increasing hostility leading to some physical fight to be broken up by security staff.

The last time Bateman and Heather had a 1-2-1 on air was just over two years ago; It didn't go as amiable as I think Heather expected..

Yeah. Bateman stuffed her into a locker like trump did to Jeb!

Jeff Wayne's musical version is pretty good.

https://youtu.be/1tM-Ww_eGLU

Hell yes.  Justin Hayward's tracks on there are so good.  I haven't thought of it in a long time.

It took me several years to track down what the music was after hearing the first track in a laser
show.  There were a number of songs I instantly loved in that show and the projectionist didn't have
the artist or track names.  No internet either back then so it took more than a decade to track them all
down.  Crazy.  The amount of my youth I spent scouring through record shops is nuts.  I could have found
everything I was looking for nearly in an instant in today's world.

Strangely this link you posted does not start with Eve of War like it should.  It starts I think on the first side of the second disc.

If Heather is as great a radio show host as she thinks she is, she will have her phone ringing off the hook with offers from other Networks.  The thing is, Heather was never Flagship Show material.  The only reason she had that seat, is because Art GAVE it to her.  She is face to face with this reality right now, and only because I don't think she was looking at herself realistically, when Art gave her the chair.  I think she got unrealistic ideas about herself because of him giving her that chair IMO.

Note entirely correct..and not trying to be arguments.

Heather did have the ambition to go after a career in broadcasting. Art may have saw her passion, which is important along with ambitions and decided he would like to mentor her. A relationship of mutual benefits. Art had companionship and Heather learned from the Master.

Heather's blind ambitions without wisdom and talent. Her downfall!

Heather..lack of wisdom and blind ambitions.

By her risking much..is risking everything
Regardless of all other issues.. she made a tactical error.
