Oooh! Sounds juicy! A topic that Hoaxy is passionate about. There should be a lot of interrupting and awkward moments tonight.  ;)

Even better!  He's going up against his replacement at c2c, if I understand right.

HeHe!!! I'm almost wet! Art says there's a quickening going on but this show is going by very...slowly. Can't wait for the next one now.  :D

She's doing fine!

I like the way she sounds tonight.  She sounds more relaxed and focused, and I even hear some hints of fun in there that I haven't heard before.  And when I stop reading these comments, I'm following the interview much better than last week.

Clarkson has a difficult, faltering style of delivery that doesn't lend itself to a smooth repartee, but that's true of most guests who aren't gifted with the art of gab.

But I think she's settling in.  Good for her.

I'm betting it ends in a knife fight.

And I'm hoping that knife fight will then turn into a musical: Sharks vs. Jets  :P

Why wont Heather challenge this bullshitter and ask questions?

Practically every ufologist is. None of them seem to use any imagination and follow the same narrative "guh, we're marginalized, we're ostracized if we talk about UFOs, disclosure is imminent, proof proof proof"

The most puzzling aspect for me is most of these widely discussed events occurred many decades ago.  These researchers seem to be stuck in one brief era of UFOlogy.  Have ETs stopped trying to reach us?  Using today's technology; cell phones, video devices, drones, it should be relatively easy to document their presence. Why the rehashing of mysterious sightings from 50+ years ago?

She's probably afraid of him walking out and then having to talk about her cat again.  :(

Bull shit.  Why would that be a problem?  He walks and she takes calls and explains about how her guest is a Beta male non-hacker who couldn't stand a few soft questions.

It would be a great show fm then on.

Much more relaxed. She's doing well, she just needs to be tougher with the guests and move away from the paranormal stuff somewhat.

I just needed you to set my mind right on that one, gunny. Thank you sir! May I have another?  ;)

That's where the art (heh) comes in.  David Brudnoy, for instance, could give a good, probing interview w/o the interviewee's divining that Brudnoy didn't believe him.  Once in a while Bruds would let down the mask after the guest was off & explain to the audience that the guest was a liar, sometimes in so many words, and when asked by a phoner-in why he didn't say so to the guest, he'd explain just what you said, that most of these people need to be flattered.  But the flattery consisted of interest while still asking probing questions.

I warned you guys at the beginning of the show.   ;D

Yeah, whenever I see a guy wearing one of those things, I feel like he's going to try to sell me magical quartz crystals near a Native American reservation.

Agreed.  She is still finding herself.  Once she does we will see her start to fully develop.  I, for one, can't wait for that.  My opinion, of course, but I really do think Heather has the stuff, a little soft, a little rough, but definitely the stuff.

You're right.  I bet she'll start warming into a tougher questioning style as her comfort level sets in.  She has a tough side - when Neorge called into BellGab she didn't give him an inch, and he was working it hard.  (I kinda feel a little bad for the guy, even though I can't bear to listen to 30 seconds of his show, the poor blighter just really wants to be liked).

She's not into the sciences like Art has always been, so I think she may be a little skittish about interviewing scientists.  But she doesn't need to be - it's okay to just pick their brains and have some fun learning new stuff.  Once she has a couple on the show I bet she'll realize that she was worried for nothing:  scientists love to play the friendly educator role.
