When I was 11, after about 2,300 lawn mowing jobs, I was able to buy a Uniden Washington base station CB and I had an Antron 99 antenna on a 40 foot tower outside.  I communicated with people all over the world on that bitch, usually lower SSB.  It was modified in order to access "more obscure" frequencies and to output more wattage than legally allowed.  Got me lots of poon.

Most of what you're missing is that Karen claims Airyn said that the police had her phone number because of "papers she signed" and reports and whatnot. And that they were told not to release the death info but did anyway despite agreeing not to (and told the media that they never spoke to Airyn). Karen is pissed at the sheriff's office and won't be voting for the current sheriff in the next election.

I used them alot in the 70’s. I was in the Adirondack Show-Van-Ists and the Omaha Truckin Company. They were mandatory equipment for vans back then. Still remember my call letters too. Actually one of the few people that got a license.

I have a couple of handhelds in my go bag along with the gmrs and frs talkies.

IF Heather is serious about being a broadcaster, she could do a lot worse than getting proper professional speech tuition..I can give her the names of at least three teachers, two of whom specialise in Voice over; Radio speech (It isn't the same as VO), and corporate speaking. It starts with being confident and having fun doing it. I don't think Heather has much of the former and doesn't seem to enjoy the latter. She needs to learn voice melody, enunciation, clarity (LOSE the vocal fry) and just work on those three to begin with, then make a show her own, not trying to be Art Bell.

Hogwash.  Although she sounds worse now than when she 1st got on mic, that's never been the problem.
