Early in her career, I believe she was a dancer.  She was a knock out with the most gorgeous gams ya ever saw.  And one of the most talented performers on stage and screen.

But, she strikes me as a pseudo person now.  I don't remember when I first felt that.
You probably are correct, simply the "looks." But she was acting also, though you are likely correct. But some rare actresses Grace Kelly, Ann-Margret, etc I cared not what they were in or how old they got!

Yes.  Agreed!

Heather felt that she simply could not compete with George Noory's interview with Dan Rather tonight so she bailed.

Okay me friends, time for me to hit the hay.  Good night everyone. :D

let my time traveler membership run out.  just can't listen to Heather for 5 hours.  Haven't listened to an entire show in a couple of months or more.  However, The Unexplained with Howard Hughes is great!

EarthAlien007

Has Heather finally quit? I can only imagine how stressful doing a 5 hour show can be.

Lusha's changed her forum, all traces of it being a MYSTIC STARS/MIDNIGHT IN THE DESERT Fan Forum are gone. Now it's MYSTIC STARS - The Outsider Fan Forum.

Does Lusha have inside info or was this a bait and switch all along?

RoseGirl / Lasha Seniuk is using Heather Wade to get attention for herself.

ON A SCALE OF 1(CRAPPY) AND 10(GREAT,ART BELL LEVEL) HOW WOULD YOU RATE THE HEATHER WADE SHOW.
MY VOTE 3(ONLY BECAUSE SNOORY IS A 1)
PLEASE HEATHER-QUIT.WE NEED A REAL PRO.
Someone along the lines of George Knapp,Whitley Streiber,Linda M Howe or countless others who know how to conduct an interview. There are so many interesting topics she is ruining.....Art i thought would do 1 day a week but it obviously doesn't look good.I think this show  with witch heather is just about done.

Probably not but who knows. Nothing posted on the time travellers Facebook, Heather's Facebook or Art's. Seems a little crappy that Art didn't sub in for her in her absence.

ON A SCALE OF 1(CRAPPY) AND 10(GREAT,ART BELL LEVEL) HOW...

I'd rate this MITD as a 2 or 3. Norry sets the floor for me at a 1 (un-listenable). Art for me was usually around a 7 but could hit 10+ every week or two. I rate Hughes as a 7 or 8 most times too, occasional 10. Amy is brand new but she's at least a 6 (betting on much higher as she gets settled). Haven't heard Knapp yet but plan to.

if art's not going to fill in on the one night heather's out, then i don't see how they keep selling this narrative that he'll be filling in from time to time.  clearly not happening... at least, not happening enough to consider it when paying for the show.

I've kept my sub this whole time on that promise. For years, I didn't listen to Noory, didn't care. But having a line back to the occult world for five months last year was really nice. I've stopped showing up live for Heather and can no longer stand the archives... an hour of the same talking points, same callers, same phrases, same Trump blah black eyed neighborhood blah blah Wolfman blah doing a great job. I'm taking my MITD money and subbing to Noory. Better than this has become, and better a less than perfect line to the occult world than one I simply don't utilize anymore.

1, with Noory closer to the listenable middle than she is. I can stand him, some nights. This is now bad beyond listenable.

I gotta be honest here and say that I am just so disappointed lately by the whole paranormal community. And radio people too. They all just seem so...I don't know...self-involved? I guess I just needed to return to more of who I am for a bit and recharge my energy, if you know what I mean. No doubt, though, I will eventually put those sections back up....just right now I needed a break from the drama. I haven't talked to Art or Heather about it, but I think they wouldn't mind. We will re-invent things later or perhaps create a separate, private forum for MITD subscribers...which was the plan all along. And some special publishing projects too.

Yeah, LMFAO!
Lasha posted that on her forum a little while ago. Fucking hilarious -  a psychotic narcissist calling someone else "self involved". Funniest thing I've heard in a while.

Hey Lusha, go ahead and add "Hypocrite" to your resume.

She has or had a producer. Some guy. She mentioned his first name on air but I forgot. I remember she read something on air but the info was wrong and she realized it and mildly berated him on air.

This is what McDonald's employees do when they're at Burger King to feel like bigshots.

And the producer is Martin Willis, host of Podcast UFO. I hope he's being compensated enough to balance out the indignity of producing for Heather Wade.

What show was replayed on Friday?

Can't honestly comment on the quality of George Noory's show since I have not listened to it since Art left their Reich.. Hmmm, maybe that is a comment about the show...

+1 on that sentiment.

The saddest thing about all this is that back when Art started doing it, it was groundbreaking.  There wasn't much else like it.  So the broadest topics were all new.  But groundbreaking is only groundbreaking when you're, you know, breaking NEW ground.

There are STILL many, MANY newer, subtler directions one could go, in the crime and occult worlds--things we face now that weren't even on the horizon back then.  There's no reason to walk back 20 years and cover the same old ground over and over.  She sounds like she's just going through the motions--and that, not well.  Why recycle the names of the past when you have a platform that could grow to make NEW icons in the corner of the world you love?

I haven't listened straight through to MITD in weeks or longer.  The first hour, anymore, could be covered by soundbites played in random sequence:  "I've never seen an election quite like this one," "between a socialist and a businessman, I'll take the businessman," "Hillary doesn't treat her staff well," [insert Google headline of the day], [enter guest from 1995], *Wolfman calls*, *update on black eyed children in my neighborhood*, cue Crystal Gayle.

The whole thing is just so sad.  HANDED a platform like the one she was given, with the support of a radio legend and a then-open fan base... the potential of that was staggering... was.  Ah well--it leaves a void for a program TRULY worthy of succeeding Coast to Coast, one that's not mired in the past and hitched to a fallen star, if one ever arises.

My take on things now is that she's basically mentally checked out. This is just a resume-builder for her and she'll be exiting as soon as she can find a greener pasture. As you say, just going through the motions for now.
