ok, so. Wade fanatics. need your help. I'm looking for a gardening thread we had here on the forum a while back, went to search and another situation where coaster looks like a dumbass. Search is gone? Brilliant.  If anyone remembers the gardening thread, let me know. I'm finally starting mine tomorrow. Roto-tilled all day today. Would be nice to read it.
Let me know.
cheers kiddos.

The search thingy is at the right top corner once you click the v looking thing.  AND at the top of the page. next to 'rules.'

I worked with so many people that popped pills for the slightest thing.  Made me sick.  "Oh...I have a burn the size of a postage stamp so I need hydrocodone."  Fucking weaklings.

i was on vico for a few months after an accident many moons ago and pretty much you just have to use it in moderation, but most people take it for the high.

I remember chatting about it on a thread when I first registered here but I can't remember if it was a specific thread or just a conversation in another thread.

I sort of agree but I've never had any pain issues. I might feel different if my back goes out some day.

I've  tried enough drugs to wish I  wouldn't  have...only because the craving for the shit never goes away

It's like my fave garlic bagel from my old city of residence.  Haven't had it in years and can still friggin taste it in my mind.

There is a threshold point where you'll friggin do anything to stop it.  Everyone's line is different but I think we all have one.

I won't take the stuff. I did it once for pleurisy which hurt like you wouldn't believe. But even then I moderated. Too scared of forming a habit. Scary how many people take that stuff recreationally.

I work on an ambulance, sure you can imagine what I deal with

In most of my reports I'll put "patient easily distracted from pain by use of cell phone"

I currently have a prescription from 9/2014 for muscle relaxers due to a chronic issue.  I still have pills left.  Could've had 3 refills.  Shit....could've sold the pills to my coworkers.  Most things one can work through.  I just hate the abusers and people who take advantage.  I think you understand where I'm coming from.

The problem is that levels of pain are ultimately subjective, i.e., there's no objective way to know what someone else is really feeling. So, most are given the benefit of the doubt because no one in real pain would want to be denied that.  ;)

I had a case of bronchitis which lasted for months.  So bad I thought I'd break my ribs from the coughing.  Finally needed the codeine cough syrup to sleep.  But that stuff is dangerous.  After I finally healed up I had a few teaspoons left.  After staring at the bottle awhile, finally dumped the stuff.

According to pain experts, you're more likely to form a habit if you let the pain come back.  You're supposed to stay ahead of the pain, & take enough to abolish the pain, not just dull it.  If you let the pain come back, that's when you associate the drug with the relief, and that's what's most likely to get you into the habit.
