i have heard piles being driven into a pit 20 blocks away at a dig site with a highrise going up. even with insulation (other properties) in between to cushion certain noise. i would think and oil and gas drilling would make a piledriver pale in comparison. certain sounds travel many miles when the acoustics are ideal.

It depends on the bedrock and if the concussion has a suitable medium to travel through. I sit on limestone bedrock with a gravel quarry less than 1/4 mile from the house. When they blast - and they come to the house to warn us beforehand - the entire house moves up/down an inch or two. The groundwave propogates that well through the limestone. VAAaaaaa-whoom-whoom. They pay for the replacement windows.

Nobody, that's my point. I'm very appreciative of that, so it's all the more frustrating to me when a hectic schedule doesn't allow for a show. Unfortunately, I have a life in between, too.

the terrace, bc noise sounds like construction equipment friction to me. it was the chalkboard one i referred to. to me it sounds like a bulldozer pushing a 2 tonne bucket at one mile an hour. if it's anything other than that i would guess shadow people counting 3 dollar bills. at a glance the site link seems to be merging horsehit with legit. this happens with every major event in modern history.
