I know some people can't stand her, but I have always liked LMH.

Mineral, oil, and gas rights to be exact.

Here there is oil.
do you have mineral rights? Would you allow fracking?

Privately, he claims he's being ironic.

I honestly think he probably is. Yeah, he's using your unintended hiatus as an opportunity to have some fun razzing you but his very positive (almost gushing) posts about your show here were the reason I first decided to check it out. I honestly think you would've worked out better taking over for Art than Heather but it didn't work out that way and now it is the way it is. Having said that, she's not as horrible as some here are trying to make her out to be. She's done some decent shows too. I think we would just like more shows from you. That first live test run went well! Get it together and gimme, gimme!  :P

Very few people here have mineral rights on land they own. We were the first place oil wells came  in Texas so....that tells ya.

Edit.

Ya these guys seem to have their stuff together. I am surprised they don't have a larger platform such as TV or something to reach more of an audience.

I find it interesting.  Most people don't know if they own the oil, gas and mineral rights on their land.  They don't pay attention.

Has been for me too. We've been getting more and more earthquakes here in Oklahoma. And a lot of our wells are on Indian land. I wonder what that does for mineral rights. These guys don't seem to be encountering that in Ohio and Pennsylvania. But there have been a lot of commonalities too.

Right, you have to wonder. I'm not a geologist, but I hear a lot of people complaining. These guys have presented their case pretty reasonably.

ever hear any those "booms" that LMH reports on?

Have not.  The earthquakes are more in western Oklahoma and I'm in the Northeast in Tulsa.

But there are these guys up by the airport that test jest engines. AA maintenance. When they fire those up you can hear them for miles. must not have any baffles or whatever on them.  >:(

Yes.  In one little town down the road, even the police chief, on his porch heard one.

We thought it was an explosion at one of the refineries....nope. Not that they always admit it.

I had the odd rumbling sounds here in the early Autumn of 2013 that sounded like a jet flying over except there were no jets. It was freaky. The nearest construction equipment was half a mile a way.

Wow, are you in Oklahoma or a fracking state?

comaphobe

one time this town was hearing these mini booms.. after weeks or months of research they found out that it was coming from a nearby lake.. and it was literally fish orgasms. i saw it on discovery once.
