Well, my friends and I were making fun of Queefcore before it was called that then. One of my friends even dubbed it Nickelback's Theory of a Deadman's Creed...and it was all about the same shitty vocal stylings they all share  :P

Theory of a Deadman is nu-metal. Totally different creature. Queefcore is more than just post-Vedder vocalizing.

Queefcore is more like the radio-friendly post-grunge alt-rock that filled the airwaves in the mid to late 90's/early aughts. Stuff like Matchbox 20, Tonic, Train, Three Doors Down, Fuel, etc. Creed gets thrown in mostly because it came around the same time as Matchbox 20, both bands were the South (another thing most Queefcore bands has in common), and the BS idea Creed was somehow a "Christian" band. (Count the number of times Stapp says GD in "What's This Life For," and try to convince me Creed is a Christian band.)

Meh..I think the genre is being too broadly defined now  ::)

You have no idea how much I bitched about that in the 90's. I wanted to taze anyone that sang like Eddie Vedder. Only he could pull it off.

It's not just about the singing and the whinny, overly-earnest lyrics to Juan. From what I can tell it's anything after Nirvana...and maybe even The Beatles  ::)

Most likely you're not getting the joke altogether

This podcast should help.

No, it's just that me and my generation had our own joke about those kind of bands and it's what I'm saying. You crazy kids have lost the center  :P

I liked Pearl Jam's one good album, Ten. As far as AiC, I think they were considered grunge, but reluctantly so. I loved them though. Kick ass band.

Donald Noory

Pearl Jam were extremely pedestrian and uninteresting. Surprised anyone would admit to liking Creed.

There have only been two conditions under which I've listened to Creed: accidentally and/or reluctantly  ;)

A few months ago at the bar, this dude walks in and puts a bunch of Nickelback and Creed on the jukebox, then walks out.  Motherfucker...
