The claim by the FBI that they can not access the phones data is total bullshit.  Last year my son forgot the password to his iPhone.  I found a method that allowed me to determine the password and get back in.  All I had to do was backup the iPhone and locate a hash and a key I believe it was.  These were located in a very specific backup file that was not hard to find.  Then I downloaded an app that tried every possible password (you can set the constraints to speed it up if you have any clue what the password is BTW).  When I realized it was going to take many hours or days to crack I moved the process to multiple very fast computers and had each one set up with different constraints.  About 18 hours later one of the computers claimed to have found the password. We tried it and it worked. 

Apple and the FBI are up to some other game here.
