I heard this guy for the first time on C2C back in the summer.  And yes...this is a good guest and a great topic.

@ superfan....a lot of times these threads vear from the topic.  People (I think/hope) still listen.  ;)

HW is HW.Art Bell is a legend, has the voice, the life experience to make great comments during his show.Sure i would love to hear ARts voice again. But this show has really given me some ideas i will investigate. This is similar to apple computer circa 1976.Sure it frustrates me that Art wont come back right now,or mayby not for a long time, but if HW keeps choosing state of the Art topics the show will improve. What freaks me out is that Art was starting to knock C2C off the air in many markets. If it was me id hire guys with AK 47s to patrol the property, put up guard towers, german shepards etc ...id go nuts..I still cant believe that Art is letting Snoory survive. But i am loyal to the end.Im still listening.

NOT solar per se. HYDROGEN FUEL CELL technology.

WTTW still doesn't beat the 500 kw out of Bonaire, Netherlands Antilles.  And that's medium wave!

No, sorry if I implied that.  But she does appear to be trading enthusiasm from the guest for complimentary remarks.  That form of shilling's not uncommon.  The thing is, they don't realize you can get the good guests, and get enthusiastic present's from them, even with a thoroughly neutral interview.

Did you hear what she said....She explicitly denied that ON AIR.I think she read your inane comment.
BTW the guest said hes like Bill gates in that he combines and is a system integrator.. Bill gates spent 50k to get microsoft into every IBM computer with a licensing fee.....He was a good code writer but a better business shark.

Robert

Why talk in terms of kw-hrs/mo?  You start out in power units, then multiply by time, then divide by time?

Robert

Heh, "solar ponds" -- a shout-out to Solar Pons?

That's the point: you don't deny what you don't imply.  If she weren't afraid people were doubting her objectivity, she wouldn't have to disclaim.  It's a challenge to maintain a neutral point of view, even the best sometimes fall into this trap.  Just saying it's something to watch out for.

I doubt that. I think you add to the show and there are times that Heather probably really appreciates it when you do call. It kinda gives her a breather.

As to Lost, clues are in everything: dialog, scenery, props, physical acting, music, even promos & some of the ancillary material.  Was that a continuity error?  Or are there 2 of them, slightly different?

I wonder what Art would have done with this topic......HW is imho doing a good job.I want a simple small system that takes over all my needs and get rids of of the hydro company.

GravitySucks

I would be concerned about the wind loading on the solar panels... Doesn't look like the moveable mount would hold up to tropical storm type winds we get here.

The solution is to NOT get off this planet.  I'm all for exploring and colonizing if we can.  However, Earth is wonderful and we can stay here if.......... ;)
