The Rising is a great song. Probably the best of the post-9/11 "tribute" songs.

I didn't warm up to that album.  It was nice to hear the band back together but the spark wasn't there for me.

I hate to say it, because they're my all-time favorite, but that's how I feel about most of the later U2 albums.

I lived off Clairemont Drive looking over Mission Bay for awhile
Clairemont Emmanuel Baptist Church basement...  Mickey Ratt's early/first gig...

I wanted to go back to Clairemont but Carlsbad was cheaper because of the high number of foreclosures.

Some guardian angels have wings, mine have paws...

Yeah, I've had the same thoughts.  Dog lovers look up the poem The Outlaw by Robert Service if you ever want to bawl like a baby.

I'm not an Apple owner but heard U2 did some 'deal' that forced an album on one's Apple stuff? Like itunes and put their crap or your phone?

Same goes for them too.  My favorite U2 album is War, then Joshua Tree, and then Rattle and Hum.  Oh, I loved Boy too.
