I always knew it could happen based on Art's track record, I just can't believe it happened to MITD. He seemed so happy, and it was all going so great.

If this story is true then I'm sorry for him, but I seriously doubt it. This is just all too convenient. The news that was just read upset me. Unite as Time Travelers (paying customers) and stand up together against the terrorists threatening both the country and Art Bell. Seriously?? Can we maybe not try to sell me something tonight? Can we maybe not use the fear and anger over terrorism all over the world as a vehicle to hold subscribers???

WABC must be out of their mind pissed off right now.

Edit: for the record I was really hard on Heather the first show. She's doing much better tonight. Sadly, no matter how good she ever us, she's not Art Bell.

The fanboy response here is a little bothersome. You know, it is one thing to support your guy, it is another to believe everything is perfect, or above average every single moment.

As a 13 year old boy I would have never have believed if somebody told me that I would be working on projects involving the Beatles. I did, I worked on multiple projects involving the Beatles as a group or the individual Beatles. I have things like faxes from Paul McCartney's office I have autographed pictures bottom line I only think of them as an average human beings who got lucky. After seeing all the little issues amplified over and over in my dealings, I realized they are not worth worship. Neither is Art Bell. So, I enjoy this thing, but he blew it. He went to the well too many times.

Other less drastic solutions IF Art really didn't want to quit:

1) Take a temporary leave, hire competent people for protection & the right people to figure out who the nutcase is OR

2) Record the show during the day while his daughter is at school, in daylight so no stalker is lurkng, & play the show at night OR

3) Do the show from another location & hire protection until the creep is caught.
