No, I meant that in the best way possible. I'm a big fan of your attempted interactions with 4 chan guys. They're the best!  ;D
The great leader and Mongol Genghis Khan on his deathbed showed his sons how easily a single arrow can be broken.

Then picking up a bundle of arrows, he showed his sons how hard it was to break the bundle. The lesson being they should all stick together.

I often think of the Mongols when the subject of 4chan comes up.

/Thus ends today's lesson.

Wait! I'm lost in this metaphor. Are we the arrows or are they?!  :o
The great truth is we are ALL arrows my son.

Well, people sometimes call me a pinhead so I guess I'm half way there already.  :D

Yeah, Ciardelo's always goading them for lurking here; and the fact that they seem to have nothing better to discuss than what goes on here.  :P

I've been known to root out a few trolls myself. It's sport.

May my arrow be strong and true!

Maybe we could recite the "This is my rifle..." speech from Full Metal Jacket later  ;)

I don't know what Art's property looks like, but I'm imagining a guy quite a distance from the house this time, with night goggles, maybe, just shooting in the air.

I found this.

Thanks.  It appears as though those towers could support some serious lighting and cameras.

So where is all the outrage that was directed my way when I dared to mention his address in a form Email to the local PD after the first shots were fired weeks ago, and I tried to explain that his place was no secret and was public knowledge ?

I think he lives in a small neighborhood & has neighbors nearby.  You'd think they'd be freaked out as well.  I'd imagine that would escalate the situation enough for the cops to stake the place out.

You're kidding right?

Anyone with Google maps can see that where he lives is so far from civilization that frankly I'm amazed he even has electricity.  The compound is near a few other houses but the location is so far from police, fire, ambulance or hospital, that you could say it's equivalent to the Alaskan tundra where they have to fly planes in to bring groceries.  Don't expect "stakeouts", don't expect quick responses.  There is 360 degree access and under cover of darkness and without IR goggles, you're vulnerable. You've watched too much TV.  They're on their own, and they know it.  If I were him, I'd hire a nice former SEAL advisor and set up a security system that works and includes a safe room, possibly underground.

As for the decision to live there, frankly it baffles me, particularly given the presence of children and women. Personally, that would be the worst choice I could make, and I'd never live there unless I was chained up in somebody's basement.  I don't condemn him for making his choice to isolate himself so much that help cannot be offered or expected - it's his right.  We are simply spectators in what unfolds.

There's nothing wrong with Art's locale. The only thing I could think of that would make it better is if it was in Utah rather than Nevada.

Pahrump is a decent-sized town.  It has many amenities and such.  Frankly, I'm tired of the big cities myself.

I have no idea and I agree with you.  It's no big deal.  It's public information.

And based on what I know about Art, he's not one to run and hide anyway (a la Dick Cheney.)

I mean, a quick Google search tells me it's a mere 1.25 hour drive from Vegas.  That doesn't sound like  "it's equivalent to the Alaskan tundra where they have to fly planes in to bring groceries."

Not by a long shot.  Hell, I worked with a guy here in BC who commuted 1.5 hours to and from work every day for years.  Sure the highway was good, but are the roads there are that bad?

I just hope when we catch the badguy he mumbles something under his breath about how "He would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for those meddling kids."
