I will say that when I was poor and struggling it was more often than not liberals who could be the shittiest, most callous and hypocritical about it. Conservatives may be skeptical about it but more often than not if they felt that you were genuinely trying to get yourself out of it they would offer some real and/or practical help. Interestingly, I talked to a hobo at a left turn signal today and inquired how his day went yesterday.  I also asked him where he stayed, and he told me that he chooses to live on the street.  He didn't like the shelters, I gave him an American Spirit cigarette and felt all christmassy.

I was most amused by his specific mention of a local homeless mission, mainly because my great-grandfather was one of the founders of the very one he named.  Haha.

I think if you reread my original post sober it’s all quite clear who I’m taliking about when. For example, who did I mention in the sentence prior to the “Their dream...” sentence? That should bring you up to speed...maybe. There is no “hobo-elite” but their are plenty of elites who want to keep them hobos and that’s sort of what I was talking about.
