So then, I'm allowed to announce that I'm about to make mac-n-cheese?  Because that's entirely off-topic!  That's what the other mod was clamping down on, and suddenly everyone stopped talking, which kind of defeated the point of having a group.

There might be a thread here for mac-n-cheese. But if not, I imagine it's ok to mention it.   ;)

I'm hoping it turns around. There's a sort of "retro rock" (an awful term) movement forming up that shows some promise.

its all about Yacht Rock

Hi, I'm not very familiar with BellGab.  But I'm getting a little frustrated with my usual chat place where I talk to people during the show.  The moderator is getting rather oppressive.  :-\
Welcome! You've come to right place. No oppressive mod here. But you should praise MV once in a while to keep his ego up.
Have fun and post often! :)

Dumb question here...does Mothman have mothlike wings?

Mothman -- as far as I know -- is not typically described as particularly moth-like. The image in the post right before yours is what people usually describe. I guess they gotta call him(/her?) something.

Do tell!

Check out a band on Youtube called "All them witches" from Nashville. Their full albums are on youtube, I recommend "Lightning at the door" first. Sort of a mix of Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd influences but unique from both.

I love gimmicks. Where was that place that cuts off your tie? I think Arizona somewhere? (I'm not talking the cut off tie etc deal during Carnival in a weird area of Holland/Germany?)

I've been to a couple of the "no tie rule enforced" places, seems there was a steak house in Tucson that did that.

I wonder if Aid and Recovery is a front for the Church of Scientology.

Boxed!  My cooking skills are extremely remedial.  I've even had the microwave kind many times.

Completely different from Seres, of course.

Given that the psychic lady is spending enough money to be in every ad break, why did she decide that talking into an answerphone was good enough quality for the advert?

<snip>
Only if you make enough for everyone here.
And it's gotta be *real* cheese.

What has been missing from rock is a guitar god.  Throughout the best times in rock history there has always been a killer guitar player (or two or three) in the vanguard.  These days people don't even respect musicians.  They mostly respect performers who dress in goofy clothes and dance like idiots.

If kids start playing instruments again, we'll see positive change.

Funny enough, I was wondering why Art would allow that poor quality ad on his show?  I guess he'll accept something that shitty sounding if he's getting paid to air it.

Yes, I forgot to mention that. Make sure to praise MV periodically, and keep in mind that he reads every post.

Hoagy talked to a guy a little while ago who was supposedly affiliated with an offshoot of CoS, didn't he? I'm sure they see shows like this as a fertile recruiting ground.

Though I think they'd have better luck with Dave, personally.

Hopefully it wasn't a Luna.
Heh. No doubt. One of those did land on my porch though when I lived in Michigan. It hung out for awhile. Coolest thing.

I wondered the same things as soon as that ad came on.  It sounded so horrible, I thought there's no way I'm going to call whoever that is.  ;D
