20151124 - Show CANCELLED

Pahrump has had serious coyote problems as local LEO's were warning residents about harm to animals AND humans.

Also somebody has been poisoning people's pets in the county and some people who gave authorities suspect information were apparently threatened. Suspect(s) were placing food items in people's yards as bait.  TROUBLING!

The "intruder got zapped while trying to steal copper from one of Art's towers" theory on the other board is kind of interesting.

There's a lot of stupid people who'd try that in Southern Nevada...  I went for a job interview to a company in Henderson, Nevada and they had a lone building on the road...  Their backup generator was on and I thought to myself that they couldn't keep their doo-doo together.  I landed the job and, talking to my new co-workers, it turned out, the burnt remnants of a hand were rumored to have been found at their power line connection on that day.

Been hearing about the poisonings in a lot of areas lately.  SoCal's been one where it's happening.

If he cancelled the show because of friggin' coyotes I'll eat my hat.

What if it went after your daughter and bit her? Would you cancel the show then??

Spinner

I was worried last night when he mentioned there was an intruder on his property. I hope Art and the girls are okay, and today's "serious incident" has more to do some kind of burglary or property damage.

You have this? If so seek help before it's too late.
I dont, but Art may have taken one to many blue pills

I wouldn't, unless she was going to die.
If my kid got bit by a dog i would still go to work.

That's an interesting problem for a 70 year old to present with.

"Darlin' don't say a word 'cause I already heard what your body's sayin' to mine..". I love Art's bumper music like nobody's business.

Greetings Gabbers :)

:(
Hoping the incident is a minor one Art, and that things are OK.
Thanks for letting us know.

Art's pulling a Hoagland, eh? Oh well.
Not even close.  ;)
Art's straight forward with letting us know what's going on instead of pulling a fast one and then making lame excuses like Hoaxy does (to cover his own ass.) Art's got character. Show cancellation was posted @ approximately 5:30pm. Hoaxy's got an ego to feed.  :o
I just hope it wasn't anything major and that he and his family are OK. I can deal with a rerun if Art has 'business' to attend to.  ;)

Being ever litigious Florida after the medics did there thing I would probably take the rest of the day off to locate an attorney.

Thats a big whatif. If I had a radio show and my daughter was attacked by coyotes, yes I would probably take the night off..

Looks like Hoagie is going to do a 2 hour infomercial tonight

My guess is it's something relatively urgent.

1. Dude kept broadcasting during gunfire on his property awhile back.

2. If it were something minor, like a storm or power problems, he woulda' just said what it was in his post and saved the speculation.

Something that requires a temporary informational cut-off is going on.

I don't know how I would feel about this in my area??
No more dangerous than a zoo. They have strict guidelines they have to follow. I'd be more worried about folks who want to keep wild animals as pets in their homes.

trostol

i am sticking with someone trying to steal copper..seems like it happened about 4 pm his time..his daughter may not have been home from school just yet at that time

so copper theft attempt gone wrong..attempted break in or tire slashing

Frankly, my TuneIn cutting out after Art's show is done is fine by me.  Then I don't have to worry about my app cutting off in the middle of something while using the sleep timer feature.

I just wish I could switch it over to U7 or DogZebra automatically.

CoolTen10

Prayers to Art..Do you think someone tried to shoot at him again?

This would be a nice feature. Probably easy enough to implement and so unlikely to happen.

Art doesn't complain about bandwidth costs, Hoagie does.
