Which Ghost to Ghost episode should I recommend to a friend?

I've listened to a few of Art's Halloween specials and most of them with a few exceptions are great.

That said, can you recommend a stand-out Ghost to Ghost episode?

Start at the beginning with 1993.

I listened to all of the 90s GTG shows prior to MITD and they were all excellent.

Can you recall the Ghost to Ghost (I think it was a recent episode) with the ghost story told by a Naval Officer who experienced screaming from an empty tank in their boat... where officers died a few years prior?

I don't expect you to have memorized all the Ghost to Ghost stores, but I wanted to ask anyway...

I don't think there is a bad G2G, but I wouldn't recommended the show from the short-lived "Dark Matter".  Not that there weren't some good stories that night, the show just had a negative vibe.

Don't remember the naval officer you mentioned, but do recall the story from a former military policeman who'd been stationed in the Philippines.  He and his colleagues frequently heard anguished voices/wailing coming from a building that had been used by the Japanese as an overcrowded facility to hold prisoners early in WWII.  The building was empty, and I think was all but abandoned.

Ah yes, I do remember that story... good memories :).

You wouldn't happen to recall what year that Ghost to Ghost episode was recorded?

No, sorry I don't know the year.  I did hear a replay of that show within the past few months on one of the Art Bell archive sites.

Yeah I don't think there was a bad ghost to ghost. I agree with Jaz start with 1993. 1997 comes to mind too with a story of a ghost boy/wolf thing creeping out from a drain pipe.

I find 1993 to be the most interesting and compelling.  The internet wasn't very prevalent, so all the urban myths and legends weren't as easily spread as they can be today.  The stories seem to be the most compelling and even the quality of the people calling seems to be better than more modern shows.  The people calling in speak very eloquently and tell some good tales.

One of the best Art Bell music moments was after the first story in 1993 he played this really mystical music and I could imagine the ship that was lost in a storm that the caller described. Then baam Inca Dance!

If you search the topic, we started listing best moments from each episode. I need to get back to it and complete a synopsis for each. This topic does come up often. If anyone wants to join in and catalog them please post! :D
