I have no idea why anyone would hate the show. This was an instant classic in my book. 8)

I think those of us who like this type of show are considered to be less discerning than listeners who have  a certain je ne sais quoi.  Not sure, just a guess.

Loved the show, Art. You really know how to milk a good story and build the mood.  I hope Abby, the mouse, returns.  ;D

I thought it was great. The interviewee believed the story she was telling. Art had fun with it. There were some different details in the story than most along these lines, and we found out at the end that the symbol belonged to a Djinn.

Little known fact i found out today, owning a flamethrower is legal in the US.

dunno why but i really want one
Missed your post before Barfly :(
Yes, totally legal, but one of the dirtiest weapons you can own, fuel gets everywhere, especially the old ones. But they are loads of fun.

I started listening, but want to save it for the night time!

About to start hour three of the archive. This show is awesome!  Right up there with Elaine the Bigfoot lady. These first-person accounts are my favorites.  And the mouse stare-down is golden.

Just starting the replay but something I noticed. On the previous show(s) she always referred to the ghost/demon as "Mr.Entity," which I found oddly hilarious, but tonight so far she has dropped the formality toward this entity?

-->edit<-- great show and she explained the "Mr.Entity" stuff.

Dark here at almost 7pm AZ time (Mountain)...starting the show from last night! ...already creeped out!

NO !
If you want standard radio and standard guests, there are plenty of other programs you can listen to.
If you want the 'old Art', fire up the archives.

This.

There was nothing wrong with this show. Art exhibiting his expert interviewing skills once again. (Not every guest can be Michio Kaku!)

Anyone who finds things lacking can go over to Snoori, quite possibly one of the worst interviewers to ever sit behind a mic. Don't get me started on that subject...

I've been waiting for an in depth ghost/haunting story...this is amazing! I'm satisfied!

Listened to the show commuting back and forth to work today and I was sold. Made my crappy commute fly by.  Seems like a classic to me, especially when you add in the stare down with Abby. Now that was a great moment. And, whether you believe her or not, there was something very down home and believable about Deborah, her voice, accent, whatever, but she seemed like the real deal. Loved the refs to the late Evelyn Paglini and, like Art said, I appreciate someone who can say I don't know and not embellish an already interesting story (looking at you Dickie Hoagland). Good show, hope Abby returns.

Why not? Falkie would be an appropriate suitor...

Why not? Is having great guests on a nightly basis not an achievable goal? Should people be ok with mediocre guests? Meh.

THANK YOU.

I figured people would love this show, but dammmmmmmmn, we've got a tough crowd in here these days. I thought this was classic Art weirdness and, as such, pretty cool.

I've heard Deborah before â€" maybe on Darkness Radio or Ground Zero or both. Maybe Dave Schrader interviewed her on C2C on a Saturday night. I know I've heard her at least twice.

There are so many details in her story, it seems like it would be exhausting to make it all up, so if she did, props to her imagination, I guess. She does tell this same six-year-long story every time and the details are always consistent. I bought the Kindle version of her book about a year ago the first time I heard her. The writing is gawd-awful but the story is so mind-blowing, I had to keep reading it.

It's just hard to believe all this sh*t would be going down and meanwhile she's mostly "amazed" by it and calling it Mr. Entity and having soap conversations while knives fly at people's heads and pop up out of chairs. I start laughing every time, not in a mean way, but more like "Am I really hearing this?!!?!" I also feel like we'd all be seeing Rancho Cucamonga blowing up on the map or a big black cloud hanging over the whole city or everything going to hell like in the ending of "Poltergeist" or something while this was all going down.

Also, whenever I hear Debbie on the talk radio circuit, I always hear her referencing the Warrens and some of these other people who came to check out her house and I do wish FOR ONCE that SOMEBODY would check with Lorraine Warren or Lloyd or one of the other people she name-drops and get their side of this story. Maybe Art could check with Lloyd. Too bad Evelyn Paglini isn't around anymore or she'd totally gab with Art about it. (NO BASHING EVELYN!!!)

That was the first time I've ever heard Debbie mention Evelyn Paglini. It made me feel kind of sad and sentimental. *sniff*

The one part that outrages the hell out of me is the casual, "Oh, I guess a woman got murdered by her boyfriend in the house we were renting to him ... and then he wrapped up her body in our rug ... but we didn't see it in the paper, so LET'S NOT CALL THE POLICE!" It comes across even more casually in the book. It leaves me open-mouthed and angry every time. I'm glad one caller got through on this show and at least said something to that effect. And Debbie's ongoing reluctance to check into that with law enforcement IS the one thing (ironically, given all the giant foam insulation heads and soapy djinn commands and the sudden magical appearance of an ancient spear) that kind of makes me think she just sat down with a giant bottle of tequila one day and wrote the most epic "we lived with evil" story ever.

OK, I'm done. I'm late listening to this show and I was hoping to read some halfway engaged comments over here, but wow, it's all squatty potties and Mouse Hunt all up in this thread. WHAT'S HAPPENED TO THIS PLACE??

;)

Also listened last night. I enjoyed the show. Perhaps participating in a thread where all there is are complaints will ruin enjoyment.

Not every show will appeal to everyone. Also, there are just negative, disgruntled people out there that will never be satisfied.  I'm just glad Art is back!

FallenSeraph

Also, I can't imagine Noory having the stamina to follow a story that long. He would've drifted off after about 7 minutes of it and then bolted up and yelled, "A PORTAL?" an hour or so later. That's why I think Dave Schrader was the one who interviewed her if she was on C2C. I'm too lazy to check though.
