Yes that cannot hurt. But most people will likely not go that route, meaning we'll be dragged along with them in the end, if they get their way. See, then it goes to locking people out that don't use the supported "legal" OS's, maybe someday a home user might get told they maybe not allowed to run linux and access the internet with it, they will paint it, in a negative light too, Microsoft always comes up with plans....recently they have been designing a linux system too, a system based on it. Oh you want linux, well, TPP says you can use a trusted source of linux provided by microsoft, etc. I'm not saying this maybe what maybe in TPP, but I have suspicions. Nobody like microsoft just rolls over and gives up to Google or Facebook or linux.

Oh, I did not realize you were replying to me.  I use Linux Mint personally.  My Dad can't because he has a few pieces of software for his business that require Windows.

I'd put those pieces of software in a Windows VM powered by Virtualbox.  Then all that's at risk is the VM and not the entire machine.

I think it was that way, where it became some sort of weird competition to invent a new sound when not really doing so. It got really bad. But I'm not seeing that as much now, rather the bands are starting to do what they want again. A sort of "so what if we sound like Black Sabbath" thing and then just unapologetically call it "just rock music" like these guys:

What's "cool," in a weird, sick way it is like the infamous "Maze" the Brits had, but more modern design and tech...like a County fair Fun House, with a huge budget and no carnies to give away secrets, so supposedly you never know where you are (if you were, somehow, able to escape.) Frankly I don't understand it; to me more humane to shoot the crazies (after trials, appeals, DNA evidence, etc especially because many admit, or even proud, of their actions) than this type of thing but, whatever. I won't spill milk but, in general, the prison system is pretty screwed.
