After watching the first 3 docs I really believed them to be innocent, but after doing some searching I really think that Damien Echols is guilty as shit.

After watching the first 3 docs I really believed them to be innocent, but after doing some searching I really think that Damien Echols is guilty as shit.

     Byers became the "guy" after Paradise Lost, then focus shifted to Hobbs being the possible killer...but given Echols prior behavior to the murders I've always considered him the only one of the West Memphis Three who could have done it. The way the directors have treated Byers makes me dubious of their "Damien didn't do it" narrative.

     A few years back he was doing a promotional tour of some sort with his wife, and even some pretty fervent supporters of him were "troubled" after getting to experience him up close. He's not a Jeffrey MacDonald "I was framed, goddamn it" sort. Apparently, Echols is rather coy and seemed to enjoy the celebrity treatment. Like he's a fuckin' cult hero or auteur.

Echols now does weird ass art work. It is worth taking a look at. I agree that he is the only one of the 3 that mighta done it and if he didn't have a hand in the murders he doesn't do anything to change our minds. He does, I think, kinda relish in the notoriety. I would not want to go fishing with the man.
