Did you know that there seems to be only 1 private, for-profit company that provides fire service ratings insurance companies use to determine how much they can charge us? The company is ISO and their customer service number is 1-800-444-4554. Hit some major roadblocks after finding out my fire insurance rating was wrong and costing every family in our small city hundreds of dollars per year, our closest TV station stood up and helped us fight. Have had no luck finding out how close ISO is regulated and monitored, but it looks like a monopoly that can be easily manipulated.  If you have time for a bit of fun, and frustration, see how your neighborhood is rated for fire protection and try to compare the rating you are getting with your local, actual fire protection facts. Heck, my former insurance company agent had no clue, he was just happy to keep overcharging. It's your money....
