Is that Chandler's Dad?

Teehehehe...now anytime I see his posts I'm going to associate that caller with him.

The 747 that is Air Force one was built at a different time and used different upgraded wire. Only the older wire with the bad insulation need to be rewired.

Interesting that a plane was supposed to have other people on it and TWA 800 went down instead? Sounds familiar to this?

I am not sure if you can ignite most jet fuel. The USAF has some fuel, one JP7 for the SR-71 would pit out a cigerette if it was dropped into it. The flammable stuff are the fumes, the vapors. I think if i remember correctly the tanks on the 747 had moved the fuel to get proper weight distribution for its flight. The bare wires, which the insulation that was blamed, wore off and a spark was created and ignited the vapors which have oxygen in the empty area of the tank,  the spark causes the first blast and that heat and fire then is intense enough to explode the remain wet fuel which is very similar to kerosene. That's what I  rememer from this case conclusion. Those FAA crash investigators do not seem like the kind of guys that would lie or go along with a cover up. They are serious dudes .

Don't automotive mechanics fill up fuel tanks when they're welding around them so that there are no fumes in the tank?

Hey, I like your avatar.  Ironically, someone on reddit just posted a photo of that actress from the 1960s.  She was certainly hot.

Yvonne "Batgirl" "Green Hottie on Star Trek" Craig, looking awesome circa 1960s

Commercial turbine airliners use an unleaded kerosene called Jet-A. It ignites above 120 degrees farenheit.
