I was taught and believe that God so loved the world he sent his only son to die for our sins. If we are truly sorry and ask God for his forgiveness, then he will forgive us...but we must sincerely ask for forgiveness.  As a Catholic that is what I  was taught. If we ask for God's forgiveness and grace he will give it to us as he wants us to enjoy everlasting life in heaven...I have no idea what she's talking about?

Maybe it's because I'm half asleep, but it seems like this guest contradicts everything that comes out her mouth five seconds after she says it. "They aren't evil, they are evil. 100% this.  It isn't a matter of God condemning us to death because he's a bad guy.  We were already condemned to death before we were born because of what went down in the Garden.  God's sacrifice is his gift to us all but we have to choose to accept his atonement in exchange for salvation.  He won't force you to do it; you have to make that choice for yourself.  If you choose to reject his gift then you will be judged according to your works which will lead to your inevitable death because we will all fall short of perfection.  It isn't like God is some evil homicidal maniac.  It's the opposite.

I really thought this would be more edgy and she would be more direct and staunch in her belief.  It seems so matter of fact blah blah blah.  It seems like a teenager who read his or her's first book on philosophy and they couldn't wait to tell the parents that they figured it all out.
