The newest submarines can stay submerged indefinitely.  The Navy's new Virginia class USS John Warner is only limited by the amount of food it can store.

Well as long as indefinitely is the life-span of the boat. The old LA class boats had to be refueled 30 years or so if I believe. They have since then expanded the reactor fuel life, so that is no longer a problem. But eventually the reactor fuel will  burn out, regardless of the design. Pretty cool tech though. Limited by food and the heights of the sailors that have to walk on the stacks of food till they eat back down to the floor.
