I believe in equal rights for all people, including gay people. I believe in the separation of church and state. I believe that (like all other industrialized countries) the USA should provide a safety net for its elderly, disabled and desperately poor (instead of trying to give huge tax cuts to billionaires at the expense of everyone else - the Republican strategy in Congress). I believe in Science, not religion. I want the USA to advance into the future with the rest of the planet, not regress back to the 19th century.  If this makes me a liberal, than I guess I am one.
