Has RH been following him every night all week? I had no idea... Maybe I'll let this roll and see what his show is all about... I only noticed because I was doing something and didn't kill the channel right away.

Anyone interested in chatting along with Hoagie's show can go here:

Same here. I jumped onto the MP3 stream twice here:

I've been using the AAC stream through TuneIn all week and haven't had a single problem.  I hope Keith will track what devices and streams are being used by those who are having issues.

Tonight was the best I've heard Art Bell sound since the late 1990s.  He's really back, and he's found his groove.

It's like some alternate universe where he never left Coast, just decided to change the name to Midnight in the Desert. He has not lost a step.

I'd heard that that classic "sounds of hell" clip (played by Art and other C2C hosts - where it's some super-deep mine in Siberia, or something) was a soundclip from that 70's porno "Behind the Green Door" with Marilyn Chambers. Has anyone heard this? If that's true it's pretty funny. ;D

It's pure magic.  I thought I could hear him shaking off a little bit of rust in the first few shows.  Tonight he shone like a diamond.  His voice was impeccable, his pacing was flawless, and his curiosity was completely authentic. Damn, I'm happy.

That'd be hilarious.  But the main thing to know is that you can get sounds like that out of just about any long thin cavity, just from resonances with surrounding vibrations.

There was a song towards the end that had a electric drum beat. It had an 80s sound that kinda reminded me of The Cure.

In the TuneIn App you can go back (and then forward again) but there is no way to control it accurately.

Hi jaz, I saw that, but it will never let me go back farther than when I just started the stream.

No, it is actually from a 1972 Mario Bava horror film called Baron Blood with Joseph Cotten and Elke Sommer.

PrairieGhost

I know I mostly lurked the thread while listening but it's time for sleep. Night all!

Oh ok. I haven't tried that yet. You probably can't do it. When Art was on Sirius you could go back 5 hours.

It would be nice to be able to go back to the start of the show if you needed to.

Hogo

I emailed Keith. Maybe in the future we will be able to.

That's the one I was referring to. No idea what-so-ever about what it could be.

Maybe it was this? Big Black Delta - "Side of the Road"
