It wakes me up from my Art Bell inspired slumber....

Sad the ads seem to not be working very well for them. Only $200 raised.

Well, advertising on Art's show seems to have paid off... they have raised an additional $11,892 in less than a week. Which one of you nice people went and did that? (Silly Gabbers! Don't you know if you feed them they will NEVER go away??)

Am I the only one that kind of liked that ad?

Wow, that's good new for MiTD.  If listening to a lady scream a couple of times a night helps Art pay the bills, bring it on.  I'd still rather listen to that than some lame Nooron commercial with Ty, pushing Carnivora.  We all know Artic Chaga is really where it's at, anyway.

It's so ridiculous I'm beginning to actually like it.

Btw I think this is the closest anyone's come to transcribing the scream:

Unfortunately it doesn't matter how intriguing the subject matter of the project is if you have no idea how to even run a Kickstarter campaign. I mean, really, contributing for a digital copy of the film costs $105?? A DVD costs $135??? If they structured their rewards more sensibly they'd probably have a lot more money by now...hell, despite the annoying commercial I would probably have thrown in fifteen bucks for a digital copy of the film.

Count me among those who get a chuckle out of the ad.  We'll be reminiscing fondly about the awesome terribleness of it someday.

Actually, I hear her and turn the radio down - then I tend to fall asleep.  I don't know, neither do I care, what she is advertising.

Hehehe.  It's so bad, I just laugh when I here it.  She sounds like the Ex-Lax just kicked-in.  It's better than listening about itchy, oozing dogs or watching somebody use the Statue of Liberty as a prop for shilling car insurance with morons ad infinitum.

 8) Catch Art's  reference to this goofy, soon to be epic, ad, during open lines on Friday?   ;D

Yes.  I love this about Art.  Dave would just stick his head in a hole.

Over $100 for a digital copy!?  Um, no.

Three Advil later, its nearly 8 AM and the headache still won't go away. Won't anyone think of the children?

Busily writing Sharktopus on my Must See list. It has possibilities, teeth and tentacles, sort of a bargain rate Cthulu. But I still think it has a long way to go from the gold standard of thespian achievement: Sharknado.

I'm surprised you ppl know what the add is all about, my sound goes off whenever she starts. Go, go now and don't come back.

Maybe the people can't sleep at night, and hence need to listen to the other commercial about narcolepsy, because of the screaming woman commercial? Well, at least so far, we are spared a condescending lady talking about how our drinking/drugs is out of control or CARNIVORA....

This.

So much this!

Plus, shouldn't she be screaming in Russian?

Cwn Annwn

First of all, the ad is shit. The scream sounds like one of the yelps that come out of my shitty undergrad students at the bars across from my apartment. Certainly not scary or even in the vicinity of scary.

Second of all, I can't listen to Art as I drift off at night because this horrible turd wakes me up with its poorly acted screaming. I hope this goddamn Kickstarter effort fails miserably. And I hope they paid a lot of money to get this ad on the air.

Ok I feel better now.

(I realize I'm very late to this party. I just needed to vent.)

Yeah, same here.  I had no clue what the ad was for until people mentioned it, my headphones fly off as soon as it starts.  I don't give up my money for that annoying shit.

This same ad is now also playing nightly on Noory's c2cam...

I hope they paid TRIPLE to run that ad... What Bateman said, Make it STOP!

I heard that the last 9 people that were listening to C2C mysteriously disappeared after listening to that ad on terrestrial radio.

ZomZom

You folks who listen live might like to know that the screaming lady, and all other ads, are removed from the archive.  I actually miss the screaming lady and look forward to hearing her this Friday!

The problem with trying to fictionalize the Dyatlov Pass incident is that 95 percent of screenwriters would instinctually try to explain what happened. They'd come up with some back story about a soviet bioweapons experiment gone wrong or something and that would destroy what makes the story so interesting: the fact that no one has the slightest idea what happened there.
It will be scarier by just trying to stick to what little is know and give no resolution.  But to me, that comes out as a short story.  The more story that is 'made' the more 'explanation' that creeps in.

You should try your hand at your own Dyatlov story.  No bioweapon, no animals, no.....just something unexplained...or just something unexplained.  You could do it, with that million dollar college experience behind you.
I bet you could.

They kept the ad but dropped the scream.  How could they mess with a classic like that?

There is actually a real "Screaming Lady". She's an American who "screams" introductions at Asian MMA events.

The screaming lady in the ad on MITD is annoying. It's when you're lying in bed with the volume just loud enough to hear Art that she screams and OMG is that awful!
