What medium or methods did you use to hear MITD first show tonight

Picked the show up on the fillings in my teeth.  Crystal clear, except for when I sneezed and changed stations to Christian rock.

How was the experience on the SW?
Slightly delayed from the internet stream and Tune-In on phone but good sound and surprisingly clear. I was sort of going back and forth between methods; testing out the various methods. I'm curious if anyone listened on KXL-FM up there and how far that signal reaches?

First when I get up at 11pm to get ready for work on the computer in bedroom. Then on my Android phone using Tunein while driving to work. But then switch to C2C archives from the 1999 shows on the MSD card, when I get into patrol vehicle. This way don't have to listen to the Screaming lady commercials! Use the Bluetooth app on car radio to listen from phone.
Then at 3:30am, stop and download the current night's MITD via Time Traveler subscription. Now I can listen to the show without the irritating commercials. Last about 2hr 25 minutes. Best $5.00 I've spent this month!

I like hearing Keith break in from time to time when the audio went out While he worked to get Art back

No offence MV but that avatar makes my head spin on many levels that are not at all too good. Just sayin'. If it's really you ... hope you can get a grip. Peace. Afixer

I'm listening on the new amazon.com Echo device.  It's a little like Siri, only for your home.  Amazon describes it this way:

QuoteAmazon Echo is designed around your voice. It's hands-free and always on. With seven microphones and beam-forming technology, Echo can hear you from across the roomâ€"even while music is playing. Echo is also an expertly tuned speaker that can fill any room with immersive sound.

For purposes of listening to MITD, it's as good or better than some comparably priced bluetooth speakers.  With 360 degree stereo sound, a 2.5 inch woofer and 2 inch tweeter, it fills several rooms of my home with the mellifluous tones of Art Bell.  Plus, when I'm not telling it to play Art Bell on TuneIn Radio, it's a pretty fun toy.   This video will give you an idea of that:

I hope Keith and Art are checking this thread now and again.  It's interesting, just how many ways there are to catch the show, and on so many different devices.  Does Keith get all the confused questions from people having trouble streaming MitD live or downloading the podcast?  I mean, there's no 1-800 24/7 customer service line, is there?

I always envision Keith alone, in a dimly lit room, hunched over a keyboard and darting his bloodshot eyes over a bank of monitors.  How can one guy do all this?  Add in the complaints about Paypal, and man, you are entering a world of hurt!

Caught it on KXL in Portland. Was great hearing it on the radio. Neat hearing the local announcer bring it in at the bottom of the hour.

Cool to hear it was on for the first night.

AAC stream on Windows PC via the excellent freeware player Foobar2000.  Both headphones and speakers sounded great.

I don't need it but I am curious about this Foobar2000 you speak of.   ???

I must investigate.

Bellgabber VegasI15 recommended it to me when I was looking for a player which remembers both last track and position within track when you close it - useful for those long podcast files.  Found out it also works fine for streaming.

(Btw for playlists, to get the last track/position saved check the option under Preferences:Playback -"Save playback state when closing foobar2000 and resume on next startup".)

Foobar2000 and one of the streams is fantastic, just as good as the Time Traveller downloads.
