Of course I've heard of Long John Nebel but never have heard him. My understanding is if Art is the father of paranormal radio Nebel is the granddaddy. Looking forward to it

Looks like a good guava season.  Perfect timing. I just defrosted my last bag of guava nectar to mix with green tea. Refreshing during a Santa Ana

Alien Dreams Radio will change over to Alien Dreams Holidays on October 1st. Format will change but address will remain the same. As always, comments and suggestions welcome. Hey, got a good DRM free Christmas/Hanukkah or Thanksgiving song? Drop me a line.

So Say We All!

Addendum:
Got this early this morning. You Northern Lights watchers ( Wish I could see them down here. Rare, very rare) might be in for some good viewing.

BIG CORONAL HOLE TURNS TOWARD EARTH: A large coronal hole is turning toward Earth, and it is spewing a stream of high-speed solar wind. NOAA forecasters expect the stream to reach our planet on Sept. 28-29 with a 50% chance of G1-class geomagnetic storms when it arrives. Stay tuned to Spaceweather.com for the onset of auroras.

Tonight a relatively rare lunar event will take place â€" a shadowy phenomenon known as the “black moon.” Yes, it sounds apocalyptic, but a “black moon” is nothing bad.

And while it will rise above the Western Hemisphere, there won’t really be anything to see.

What is it? A “black moon” is simply a spooky nickname for the second new moon to fall in a calendar month. A “black moon” occurs about once every 32 months.

While a full moon happens when the moon’s Earth-facing side is fully illuminated by the sun, a new moon is when the side we see is fully covered in shadow. As a result, the new moon is basically invisible to Earthlings looking up at the sky,

Pumpkin Spice Bacon

For the pumpkin spice glaze I combined the following ingredients:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

After mixing everything up I covered a baking sheet with a piece of aluminum foil, laid out a half pound of bacon strips and then covered each one of them in my pumpkin spice glaze using a pastry brush. I then put my bacon in the oven at 400° for seven minutes before taking it out, flipping it and brushing the other side in pumpkin spice glaze as well. After that I put it back in the oven for an additional seven minutes. Based on the way my kitchen smelled while I was cooking the bacon I could tell how delicious it was going to taste even before I pulled it out of the oven. It was like some form of sick torture or something, but at the same time I loved every second of it! Ok… this is getting weird….

EARTH-DIRECTED CME: A magnetic filament in the sun's northern hemisphere erupted on Oct. 8th, hurling a faint CME (movie) into space. NOAA analysts say the storm cloud could deliver a glancing blow to Earth's magnetic field on Oct. 13th. At this time of year, even a minor CME impact can spark bright polar auroras, so stay tuned.
