Tested everything except the Skype setup. I need gravity or starr for that. I'll test again over the weekend.

Have your people call my people and don't try pulling that non-compete crap.

Very well, I shall post a picture of the apples I picked from the tree on my sprawling estate the other day. When I say 'I' picked them, I mean one of the team of gardeners in my employ, but I try to keep things egalitarian around here.  It's not your fault, you unwashed rabble!

Lovely apples, Sredni. Much appreciated.  Organic and egalitarian. Good man

Thanks. Evacuating as I speak. Heading to the woods, dark skies and meteors.

For your meteor viewing pleasure, most people can find the constellation Cassiopeia. It is the big "W". Perseus is slightly below that. If you go about 15 degrees below Cassiopeia and about 15 degrees left, you will see a bright star, brighter than any of the stars in Perseus. The meteor shower should all originate from a point between that bright star and Cassiopeia.

Here is to a cloud free night.

Hope you enjoy the sky show.

Night and morning clouds in my neck of the non-woods  :(  Been that way almost constantly since May. Not complaining. Keeps the summer from being too hot and less fire hazard. Always a good thing

Just how many shows have you started/been involved/ruined now? I think there's some rule in the podcasting community that when you reach ten you are sent a free coffee mug with Falkie on it - the more you drink the nuder he gets. Just be warned, that's all.

I'll never post in this thread again. Who would have thunk that this of all threads would be the most vicious.

Apparently, you've never read the toxic posts in the MITD threads.  Some posters have energy so dark, it made me physically ill.  I haven't been there for a while now.

When the moon set shortly after 1am it was grand. I couldn't see the whole sky because of the tall oaks on either side, but between 1 and 2:45 I saw 50-60 faint ones and 12-15 really bright ones. At 2:45 I started falling asleep so I stumbled through the woods in the dark to make it back up to camp. Now I know what a drunken sailor must feel like. I was so tired, I could only shuffle my feet on the way back.

Experienced the 3 C's under the Milky Way. Cicadas, crickets and coyotes.

It was realky nice. 79-80 degrees was a tad warm, but a real nice breeze was blowing and rustling through the trees.

That is, in fact, too much to ask. Grow up.

When Falkie used to post on BellGab, I used to read his posts. Eventually, I came to see how he thinks and reasons. It's memorable, right?

Trump is Falkie writ large. Once you see it ...

Still not as memorable as Mr. Obama. "Michael and I would like to thank..."

BLASPHEMY!

Actually, when you think of it, Hillary might be falkie in drag.  They both have the same temperament, and level of integrity, or lack thereof ::) ;D

State of Emergency In Louisiana, Heavy Flooding As Rivers Rise Toward Record Crest

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9z-i85dEQ0

Little Walks heads off to college next week for the first time.   This shit sure seems alot more involved
than when I went.  We've got a damn spreadsheet with items categorized in it.  It's crazy......

I have a vague memory of a duffle bag, a small box of gnarl and my Old Man dropping me off out front
of the dorm saying  "See ya at Christmas boy - don't screw the pooch or you'll be hanging tailgates on
F-150's at Ford"

Hope she does well.

I don't know what school she is going too, but I'm amazed at the luxurious places Universities have become. I didn't even have A/C in my dorm (in Texas!) and the gym didn't have it either. I did a walk through of the gym and facilities after the last football game I went too. Amazing. Flat screens tvs, awesome (new) weights and cardio stuff of all kinds, swimming pool with swim-up bar (I assume no booze since most are under 21,) lounge chairs, WiFi everywhere, etc. This was for students- not scholarship athletes. The off-campus, private housing is also crazy. Like some condo in LA for the Hollywood set. Roof top pools and the works. I can't imagine how students afford such luxury unless rich (or in debt) parents. University administrators admit that they have to "compete" for students and students often consider "facilities and social life" the crucial factor. Crazy.

Best to folks in LA with all that crazy flooding!?
