Sourdough bread I made with my own mother...

That's a new one on me. I made some bread using sun-dried tomatoes the other day, but I hadn't thought of your little innovation. I guess those years spent sharing a cell with Jeffrey Dahmer proved to be of some use after all.

Chefist, why does this loaf of bread look like a brown eye? As in, When the brown eye winks, the whole room stinks. Was it baked in honor of Bellgab? Is this a passive aggressive way of telling us all to kiss your ass? Inquiring minds want to know.

I have no idea of your situation or set up but you can always plug in (assuming your issue is only with WiFi and not with general internet service. I had to do that a couple months ago when I couldn't get the "WiFi" part of the computer I re-formatted to work, and it seemed even faster/better, though less mobile.) Good luck.

I was having a bit of fun there till I thought I was being ignored by most (not all) folks.  It's called, 'I'm being overly sensitive.'  My bad.  I'll get over it.  Just too much going on in my life, right now, to process all at once. 

Those guys are fine.  I just wanted to be recognized too.  When I wasn't, I got a little butt hurt.  There are many more important things to get 'butt hurt' over.  That's not one of them.

It is amazing how reliant on technology we've become. A few years ago I was living in a condo in another part of town on a golf course but surrounded by some hills/cliffs. And a weird confluence of legacy cell-phone towers and precisely in some "ley-lines"  between all three. The point being you could never get phone calls or even texts on the phone (unless I finally determined to walk out on the course to a precise location or get in the truck and drive a few blocks up the hill and talk there.) Very frustrating and "good" neighborhood with expensive houses etc. Condo Assc, Neighborhood assc etc all bitched. I happened to have an old Nokia still around and tried that (the kind that told you what carrier tower you were picking up and could "see" that the signals were still being listed from old cell companies' tower since taking over. AT&T and T-Mobile gave some (that called incessantly) some kind of booster and system that, as I recall, would work through your computer (I guess like Skype.) But, when I talked to the real people (the tech guys) they said, basically, they needed to upgrade the towers and bad-luck of propagation due to the hills and position (and also a high-tension power line nearby.) So frustrating. I feel your pain.

I have a back remedy that really works. Since Art Bell isn't in charge here in the haven, I will put it here for you, Starrr, in the chance that it might help. Or help anyone.

Lying on your bed, your goal is to do the old-fashioned arms-over-head sissy sit-up. You can bend your knees if it helps, and you can use your arms to drag you up. Try to slowly stretch out your back as far as you can and stretch out to your toes, if you can. Do as many or as few as you can. Do it when you have no back troubles, and even when your back has gone out.

☞ Back story: Around 25 years ago a combo of the flu and an injury made me fear I'd ever get out of a chair without help. No health care back then, no google ... went to the book store and looked up every solution I could find in the "Medical and Health" aisle. Even if you're getting a fused back or recovering from one, the doctors will tell you to do sit-ups. No matter what, you can't escape sit-ups, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to try it first before I ended up at a doctor's office. ☜

A few more moves under my belt now, no matter how much I might pull it out, I can bring my back back by doing these sit-ups.
