Hang on...

There we go. I'm down to my last 5 sticks of venison sausage, but everyone can try some if they like. I'll be replenishing my supply soon. Lots of deer around this year.

Seconded. There is a sausage recipe that doesn't require stuffing it back into rubbers, er, long tubes. Just make patties and fry. Thank you, Chefist.

Also, there's been some weird activity involving potatoes among the Norwegians on the forum, and it doesn't end in gnocchi. Odd. I don't have recipe for Latvian biscuits -- only a memory -- but it does include bacon.

I'll be offline for several days, so I am going to take rest of the bacon and blintzes.

See y'all in a few days. And I expect a GabCast to listen to upon my return.
Take Care Gravity. We'll see you when you get back.  :)

2nd News Flash:  Art's having a 'Demonologist'  on tonight's MITD
Mon Nov 9 â€" Ralph Sarchie â€" Demonology
Websites: destinationamerica.com facebook.com/thedemonfiles A retired NYPD Sargent, Ralph Sarchie worked out of the 46th Precinct in New York’s South Bronx. But it is his other job that he calls “The Work”: investigating cases of demonic possession and assisting in the exorcisms of humanity’s most ancient, and most dangerous, foes.  Tonight he discusses his investigations into an inhuman evil that has never been explained, solved, or understood.  He has been schooled in the rituals of exorcism, and is an eyewitness to the reality of the demonic.

Potato Sausage ??  YUM YUM YUM. Lot's of work, but the rewards are worth it.

Astronomy report :
For the week of November 9 - 15   Major happenings:

The peak days of the 11th and 12th will see the highly anticipated 7 year Taurid meteor shower and lucky for us, 2015 is a swarm year. Wednesday night should be Prime viewing. The best viewing areas across the States are mapped here.

The Taurid Meteor Shower produces fireballs that other meteor showers do not. This is caused from the EArth passing through the debris of the Comet 2P/Encke, a.k.a. the 'Old Faithful' of comets.

The best way to view a meteor shower is with the naked eye, and this bad boy has the potential to produce large fireballs and put on quite a show. To view Comet Encke, you will need a pair of good binoculars as the comet is only a magnitude 7 at perihelion towards the end of November. Magnitude 6.5 marks the threshold of naked eye visibility, and the lower the magnitude, the brighter the object.

As for tonight, the moon, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter should all still be in an almost straight line alignment. Saturn will be in the evening sky although it will be hard to spot (in the West) because of the glare of sunset. It will require binoculars to see, which will be dangerous if you accidentaly pick up the sun. From the southern Hemisphere (Jazmunda), Saturn stays out a bit longer, setting shortly after nightfall. The sun will come between the EArth and Saturn by mid November, occulting it from view. Fear not intrepid souls, Saturn will reappear in the morning sky toward the later part of December.

Venus will be the brightest object in the sky tomorrow morning before sunrise in the EAst.

If you have a medium powered telescope you can pick up on Jupiters moons which circle it's equator.
Both Mars and Jupiter will be climbing upwards from the moon and Venus for the entire month.

This link will take you to a custom sunrise / sunset Calendar.
