Thank god you finally showed up! I've been drinking this shit all morning...

I keep a jar of instant handy for just in case,  and I have to be honest, there have been times I've been very thankful I had it.  :o

I am always looking for an 'instant handy'. I didn't realise you could get one in the supermarket though, but nothing would surprise me about you people!

No worries serenity, I know you like to work on your stream, and I'm really glad you still are.  I enjoy listening to whatever you have on in the morning. Sometimes there is a MITD, or OSOM, gabcast, bellphiles, whysotechnical or endofdays radio show that I have to catch up on that I missed and wanted to hear, but when I am all caught up, I tune in to see what you have on in the morning with my coffee :D  I appreciate, and am thankful that you are always there :D

If you nuke a cup of milk, add a sachet of Tasters Choice and a lot of sugar, you get really good coffee. That's what I drink if I am staying up at night to do work on my computer.

Honestly I also think Tasters Choice is pretty darn good for being instant.

I don't know how it happened, but I have always drank my coffee with no cream or sugar, the same with herb teas.  The only thing I add cream and sugar to is if I have afternoon tea with some nice bread and butter or something like that.

I have a guest house in area of the Oshkosh WI EAA Fly-in
It's a must for every air craft enthusiast .. Drop me a PM if ever want to come. The air show each year is spectacular.
Best one was a fake crash of two war birds flying at each other, very low altitude. Had a huge ground gas bomb explosions, one war bird pealed off so it was out of site behind smoke and flames, while the other plane shot up rocking wings and trailing smoke. It fooled us all for a while.. At least until the heat from the gas bomb was felt.

BTW We have the "guest house" to have guests :)

The video below doesn't show the fake crash but shows a wall of flame. Similar to the flames used during the fake crash.

I had to wean myself from the sugar. At one time, I had two spoons in each cup. One day I realized that, at 12+ cups of coffee each day, that was a shit-load of sugar. Now, I prefer my coffee the same way SV prefers his men... 'strong & black' ;)

I hate instant coffee. I had to live on it for a few months at work as they took the main coffee pot away because people weren't cleaning up after themselves. So I had instant until I read about making your own single brew satchels from tea bags. I was rolling my own coffee on the weekends. LOL. But seriously 'F' instant coffee.

I hear ya.  I think the only times I have had to use my jar of instant coffee, is when the electric is out, but there is still hot water in the hot water tank.

Sadly, in these urban high rises, there are rules against all those wonderful emergency backups, let alone no room to store anything.  They don't even like you to have candles or oil lamps.

This is interesting. Those two (he went on to skewer vampires with Buffy, as I recall) and the other one used to be known here as the 'Gold Blend Couple', and they had this series of 'will they, won't they?' ads for another blend of instant slop. Maybe it was just called Taster's Choice over there and Gold Blend over here? Probably. Anyway, it all tasted the same, like any other brand of that muck. They used to love sexing up ads like that. They used to have an ad for some liqueur called Cointreau with a dirty old Frenchman trying to score with various milfs of his acquaintance.

They can limit your use with candles?

Edit:  lol - that sounds kinda dirty; what I meant was, can they ban you lighting candles to enjoy the light and fragrance?

If my opinion of you wasn't already at rock bottom, I would be ashamed of you for that pitiful bid for attention. Anyway, you left out 'hot'.

The series was very popular over here and someone even wrote a book about them called Love over gold.

Well, Ms. C.  Sad to say, in our building, we have 18 floors, 12 apartments on each one.  Two 40 year old elevators that break down regularly, and shut down automatically when the fire alarm goes off, and two cracked and narrow concrete stairwells for fire escapes.  We have people with wheelchairs, walkers, etc, so even cooking is scary in our building.  Our fire alarms are set to go off very easily, even toast can set them off.  We are not supposed to have candles or oil lamps.  we are still allowed to have those plug in wax scenters.  Thats not to say nobody HAS candles or oil lamps, but in this urban high rise, even the thought of people cooking is scary.
