If you want authentic Japanese food forget about Japan and go to N Carolina

Maybe try eating somewhere other than KFC or McDonald's

Truth be told....I had every intention of joining the group.  It's been a while.  I was simply too tired.  Passed out early.

You better join us tonight

My favorite Michelle social media moment is still when she was whining that a Japanese bar wouldn't let her into a lesbian sexy no bra night. I mean, honestly, you're not exactly trail blazing by breaking stereotypes sweetheart. :(

Thanks.  I wonder she's a good teacher.

If the crew could give me some help...what's the best link for Hoagie's show?  It's been a while and I deleted a bunch of stuff.  Plus I'm too lazy to look.  Thanks!  :D

Thank you for posting that.  I always enjoy seeing the long s in old newspapers and manuscripts.  :)

Ha remember the first time seeing it as a kid -- couldn't figure out what "Congrefs" was.

God, isn't it?  Hoagland is going to get beaten to death by a gang of angry physicists after they get fed up with his chronic abuse of the word "physics."  ::)
He can be difficult to find.

Speaking for myself, I have a hard time believing that there are 44, er, 41 people in the world who are depraved enough to listen to Hoagland's show.

(BellGabbers, of course, know what they can expect from Dick.)
He announced a few weeks ago that he was bigger than C2C on ... streamguys? ... some streaming service.  Anyone know (a) if that's true and (b) if it is, what fraction of each's audience comes from that streaming service?

On a completely unrelated note, I'll be down in New Mexico all next week.

Once seen, it cannot be unseen.  I hate you.

Now that is a real work of art.  Are they on the moon?  I believe I can see the twinkle of a glass dome behind them, too.

Ah, NASA has assigned you to fiddle with his phone lines this month.  Good to know.

Do people still use phone lines?  I thought Hoagie used telepathy.

Considering his Skype/computer skills, Hoagland might be better off using telepathy.

If I remember correctly, Hoagland was parroting what his boss, Fred Lundgren, proclaimed on the air.  However, I see two problems here:

1) Fred's job is to sell ads (or rather, to have his lackeys sell ads), so he is more or less obligated to put the best face on Hoagland's show, no matter how badly the show might actually be doing in terms of audience share.

2) If it's Streamguys' stats Fred is quoting (I thought it was "Airstream," but I could have that wrong), he is talking about one online streaming service only, rather than taking an aggregate view.  For example, here are the top Top 25 Streaming Talk Shows according to Talk Stream Live for Q2:

https://blog.talkstreamlive.com/

Notice that Hoagland is nowhere to be found in the top 10, the top 15, or even the top 25.  C2C, meanwhile, is ranked 7th.

So to try and answer your question: a) yes, I think what Fred said is true as far as it goes and b) no idea, sorry.

trostol

pretty sure Hoagie has like...maybe 100 actual listeners
